Realistically England have the biggest chance of winning over Scotland and Wales. Anything is possible though. The four home nations I think we should all support each other, whoever goes furthest, pity northern Ireland isn't involved this time round 🥺

I like to see Scotland and Wales doing well its cute. They'll never win anything but it's really nice to see them still trying! Plus their fans are great, they know they're losing but they're having a party anyway coz it's just great to be included! Its like if Crystal Palace beat a top 4 team in the league. Doesn't make a difference to where they'll finish but they feel really good about themselves for about 3-4 days!
Yes, there is a big percent of anti Englishness in Scotland, through msm& ess enn pee propaganda. But there is a large percent that you don't hear of - unionists basically, who are happy supporting the 4 home nations at tournaments and be glad for England and Wales (as a scot/hispanic here) to do well & wish them all the best. There is a significant portion of England's travelling fans that are utter wankers tbf. And I don't just mean the proper hooligans, there's the dickheads that sing stuff like 'ten german bombers' and all that, and they attract a lot of attention every tournament. A lot of nations would probably be a bit less hostile if we were more like Irish, Scottish and Welsh fans.
Wales celebrated like they'd won the competition when Iceland beat England.
They also celebrated like they were English during the Russian world Cup 2018.
It what it is I guess.
So what, I still support Wales against any other nation apart from England.

As a Scottish supporter I dnt have any bad feeling towards the team , its the English media that pisses Scotland fans off
I moved to Cardiff, Wales, as a teenager, and was shocked at the sheer amount if resentment levelled at me for being English. I never spoke to anyone or behaved badly, but so many classmates despised me to their core just because my dad's job meant we had to live there. During Euro 2000, the amount of hate I got was absolutely unreal just for supporting my country at my friend's house. Sure enough, everyone else in the house supported Portugal, Germany and Romania when each match came. They got in my face, they sang at me a foot away from my nose. They were passionately aggressive in their hate for me, and they were my friends. Still, it this day, I support all home nations, including the Republic, yet often feel a fool for doing so, because I know the support is by no means reciprocated.

I'm Scottish and I would love England to win it, but I'm in a tiny minority up here: if England go out in humiliating fashion, it'll be like Scotland have just won the tournament; everyone will be celebrating it. But English people still have to support Scotland, apparently. How does that work??? It was actually refreshing to hear Simon saying "Stuff that, I support England and I don't care about the other home nations." A shame Jim couldn't arrive at that level of honesty.
Jim White seems to be a little slow on the uptake. Explaining that guys joke over and over again showing he didn’t realise it was told in a joke format. “I was with you when you asked why the chicken crossed the road because I was curious why. But to get to other side isn’t really an interesting reason. That’s where you lost me.”
English people support England, Us Scottish support Scotland, and the Welsh support Wales. I don't think either of us really cares how the other do, although us and England have to because we're in the same group.
As a proud Englishman I use to give Scotland the benefit of the doubt. But I remember a documentary after Euro 96 where it showed a pub full of scots in Glasgow cheering and celebrating when England lost to Germany in Euro 96 on penaltys You could have mistaken the scene being in Munich so fervount was the celebrations. So ever since then I've took great delight in Scotland getting beat ie like last night😊😊🏴🏴
I was in Paris, France for the WC '98 and was in a pub on the eve of the first England game. Atmosphere for the whole tournament had been fantastic, right from the opening game, which was Brazil v Scotland.
As the game was about to start the barman turned up the commentary to hear the English commentator excitedly exclaim;
‘…the World Cup might have started a few days ago, but it REALLY starts tonight…’
The entire pub, made up of people from all over the world (including England to be fair), let out a collective groan... or worse...
And that folks, is why the whole world likes to see England lose.

When I was a kid and watched grandstand when the home nations were qualifying, I used to say to my dad ill start counting when they start talking about Scotland, not once did the count ever get past 30 seconds and practically the rest of the program was about England.

Most of the anti-English national team hatred comes from the fact that 95% of UK media coverage is about the England team. Wales games aren't even shown on terrestrial TV in Wales yet England games are. Could you imagine if it were the other way around.
As the larger and more-successful nation, England tends to look down on the others. Or maybe see them as their 'pet.' Truly-patriotic Welsh and Scots actively dislike England. Let them have their hate. I would always cheer the Scots, Welsh or Irish against the Frogs or Krauts etc. Let haters hate, and we know who and where we are.

Like the first caller I was brought up to support the all the home Nations but I would say ever since the mid 80's things started to change. I have friends now in Scotland that do wish England well and even some that wish Scotland ill. I personally think it is down to the Nationalists that have soured it like the SNP and the Welsh lot and people like Gareth Bale who are openly hostile to England. Saying that I do wish N.Ireland and Wales well unless they play England of course. Scotland? I just don't care really like Simon. In footballing terms I regard Germany as England's rivals. But also saying that I think Southgate is doing his best to sour the Euro's for England fans and he should keep his mouth shut.

I find the dislike that Scotland have for England very unsporting and hateful. I’m 86 and over many years have always cheered Scotland or Wales when they have been playing overseas competition. But I’ve been on holiday abroad in a pub, and watched England playing another country on TV. and every time all the Scots in the pub cheered on the opposition. Whenever Scotland was playing I was loyal enough to cheer on the Scottish team. I find the Scottish attitude towards England sickening and there is no justification for it. Scotland will never have a better friend than England and if you lose our friendship, you will regret it for centuries. We are family, DONT turn your back on your best friend.
I'm English but will not be supporting England Southgate to me is an amatuer. He will not inspire grit & fortitude in this side. The 4 right backs thing pushed me over the edge. Scotland are who I'm pulling for. They're adaptable to different games & with players like Mcginn & Tierney have quality too.
