      ABS pro would only be part of the ABS system and wouldn't show as ABS PRO anywhere.

      check out the other video I made about user mode. It will give you a downloadable worksheet that shows you which settings have wheelie control active.

    Amazing and perfectly explained, but what's the meaning of SAG? Tanks a lot!

    • @TheBikeStig
      @TheBikeStig  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Basically what that refers to is the difference in measurement between a fully extended shock absorber or fork and how much the suspension sags with the bike weight (static SAG) or with the rider on the bike (rider SAG). Optimum setting positions the suspension travel in the middle third of travel which is the sweet spot of suspension while a rider is cornering with good technique.

    I didn’t really understand why I have to reset calib suspension, when I change compression and rebound...

      I hope it didn't come across that way Davide, you only need to calibrate after setting preload as the sensitivity is associated with ride height not damping.

    Good info, thanks - I’ll have a play around with some of those settings. The owners handbook is crap for finding info…it might be in there but it’s bloody hard ti find. Thanks for taking the time to make this vid 👍

    hey mate... brilliant videos.. iv learned sooo much today .. thank you kindly.... May I ask a question? I have a 2015 1krr.. but i dont have DDC on my set up menu.. I also cant set up DDC in user mode. Could it not be an option on my bike... or is it turned off somewere in the settings? any help or advise would be appreciated

    • @TheBikeStig
      @TheBikeStig  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you have the wiring connected to the top of the left side fork, then you have DDC on the bike. So it should be visible in the set up menu. Check also to see that you have the additional modes plug (whatever they call it) installed under the seat, I have no idea if this affects DDC on the user menu but I guess it is possible. Beyond that I can't see why you don't have it visible if DDC is fitted to your bike. I'd be asking BMW about it.

    Can we set DDC while riding or use SET DR function in slick mode also,and do we have to completely stop the bike to make DDC adjustments while we are riding?

    • @TheBikeStig
      @TheBikeStig  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't believe you can change DDC on the move like you can with DTC. The only ways I am aware of is to (a) change mode which has the effect of softening or hardening depending on which way you go, or (b) to stop and adjust DDC. If you set up the DDC adjuster so it comes up with the set button sequence that's not such an issue.

    Be careful with the pit limiter. If you have take your thumb off the start button while having the throttle on (high), it's likely to launch.

    Mate. Im trying to calib my 2018 on its kickstand on a flat surface without anything on it just like the manual says but i cant seem to make it succesful keeps saying calib fail? Lets say i manage to calib it succesfully.. will it hums or move a little bit indicating that the calib is working? Because I manage to find a work around for it to be succesfull or atleast shows the CALIB DONE on the dash.. but i need to press and hold the screw of the joint of the sensor first while calibrating for it to become CALIB DONE. I still think my sensor is faulty but could it possibly be a success when i do the work around? Because im assuming the bike will hum or atleast move a little bit if the preload has been changed or will it not?

    • @TheBikeStig
      @TheBikeStig  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've never heard any sound resetting the CALIB, I was under the impression that it's an electronic adjustment not mechanical. If it keeps coming up as unsuccessful I'd definitely suspect something is faulty. Might be worth a google search or at least chat to the BMW folks.

      The Bike Stig thats good to know that no sounds or parts moving when resetting calib. Yeah my bike is still under warranty im gonna try to talk to bmw about my faulty sensor hopefully it wont take much convincing for them to replace it. Unfortunately we still got maybe up to the end of the month before the quarantine gets lifted. Anyways thanks for a helpful quick reply as always. Be safe always to you and your family and for everybody. Thanks again

      I’m having the same issue with calibration fail I’ll try and look into it a bit deeper but any ideas greatly appreciated !

    • @TheBikeStig
      @TheBikeStig  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@robtno1 I don't know why the issues occur but I'd try changing the way the bike is held up, maybe side stand then using a rear wheel stand or even just holding it upright without a stand. I'll ask a guy I know at BMW about it and see if he knows more.
