      Super buddy. Natural some beautiful stuff out there crazy prices non the less built some nice walls with marshalls Indian sandstone super hard nearly non porous like granite 310mm lengths can get brick sizes also. Used 310mm lengths threw cuts in every no and then random bond tumbled spit face white more looked really nice.

    Looks like a very tidy dig, hopefully the weather held out for the pour!
    Must say I've never seen the bottom of foundation trench dug so much off level. I thought the bottom of the dig had to be kept level and any required increase/reduction to foundation thickness is then accommodated via steps. BCO is happy so crack on I guess!

      You can use steps but it’s more work, we hit the good ground and kept that as a level and then added more concrete instead of steps. If we didn’t hit brash, which is basically stone, then we would have stepped the concrete 👍🏻

    Lovely plot. I’d keep them trees if the farmer sold me that extra bit of land.

      I do plan on keeping them mate, I probably wouldn't be allowed to remove them anyway but none the less I am keeping them 👍🏻

    A inexperienced female building inspector told a friend of mine to dig deeper as she was concerned about trees ...it ended up 1900 mm deep of concrete for a single story extension and the house is only 450 mm ish max . stick to cakes and sandwiches I say .

      We were expecting to hit at least 2m but we hit brash after a meter which was literally the best case scenario we could of wished for. We also went for decent quality concrete mix too just to be sure 👌🏻 Building Inspector was really happy with the ground

      @@Tone_Team yeh saves you concrete , less muck away and reduces chance of footing collapsing .

    • @Tone_Team
      @Tone_Team  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TopCatsBack We had talked about digging 2m down, sticking 600/700mm of concrete in to avoid trench collapse and then going again, fortunately we didn't need to do that
