In a country where practical skills are undervalued and dummed down compared to "management" positions, this job involving the technical ability to read a plan, set out work, measure, level, plumb and apply manual dexterity requires more ability than the vast majority of screen watchers could muster. Well done and good luck!
Love your videos mate! I have a question. Do you think a single skin 100mm block dwarf wall (1 or 2 courses out of the ground, a couple below) to support a timber frame wall for a shed is doable or a bad idea? I know 140mm block is used for this usually but wondering if I can get away with 100mm. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
When you’ve got the beams running across your blocks when your block sits on your outside beam what’s it sitting on ? Usually you have a 40mm split for the bedded block to sit on to give finish floor ?
Charlie your wall ties are upside down. The drip in the middle of the tie should form the letter W not the letter M. NHBC Regs . What a total crock of Shite . Crazy but true 🤣great video and your right to think who gives a Sh&t it’s a wall tie . 👍
Unbelievable I know but that’s what they want from us . We got an RI. Reportable instruction for a piece of sellotape on a wall tie Plus full blocks at window height to carry the lintels
Also eats about 5 bananas & honey most days. Lol 🍌. Thats a crazy amount of mash to eat even when you’re starving from a hard day on site. I couldn’t eat that amount of mash with anything. ✌️👍✌️

Oh yes Charlie geezer, yes my son, yes - noice one.
Mr Collison,
Never mind the substructures in Bishy Stortford. How is the training for "Super-trowel" progressing.?
Good luck with it all.

Dont work hard and starve...eat mash and slash.

Another great vid Charlie
Love the UK climate Charlie. Few real hot days. So you don't have to spread, shit and get due to scorching hot weather. Get on fellow brickie.
