Black Tiger is a hack-and-slash platformer that was created by Capcom for the arcades and later ported by other companies to home computers such as the Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum. Three demonic dragons have risen from the mysterious darkness to conquer and control the kingdoms and the surrounding lands. You play as a nameless barbarian hero who sets out to defeat these dragons and wrest control of the kingdom back from them. As you defeat the dragons's minions, you can earn money that you can spend at shops for upgrades for your weapons and armor, antidotes, and single-use skeleton keys.

Now, THIS is why the TAS exists. Excellent job on a stupid hard game, especially at the end. How many quarters have I myself and all my friends poured in to this arcade game? Very cathartic to see it destroyed.

oh wow a real gem i played this game so much at the arcades that i beat it with 1 credit since its really easy to beat, good times.

The TAS clipped through so much terrain that even the game itself was shocked into silence!
As a kid I used to take a few quarters from my mom's purse and find my way to the corner market where this game was sitting next to a NeoGeo cab. I'd play and get wrecked at around the first dragon... One day, I come in to play an this older guy was on the machine. He had the best whip and golden armor and was on the final stage, he saw me watching and asked if I could take over since he had to go, I did and for the first time defeated the final boss. I'll never forget that perfect moment.

Capcom Classics Collection Vol 2 exists, and my younger self couldn't beat this game without a million continues and / or save states. I still remember brute forcing Quiz and Dragons for at least 2 months.

Black Tiger was 1987 and Magic Sword was 1990(?) and they were both Capcom, so possibly.

That's my fault, sorry! It's a glitch caused by the silly movement patterns at the end of that round. Unfortunately I didn't notice it until the TAS was basically complete.
