If you're using the disc version to play this game, another way to farm mileage is to leave your disc tray open after you beat an opponent. Once you select to return to driving, it'll stay stuck in the loading screen and it'll just be on autodrive. You can leave the tray open for as long as you need to and once you're done, just close the tray and it'll go back to rendering the rest of the game.
you don't even need to beat a rival as I've learned, if you time it right, you can make this glitch work by just starting the night when the game drives your car into the road. but also I want to share a game breaking exploit that uses the disk eject method. if you have a wanderer that denies your challenge, just eject the disk with proper timing before challenging them again. if you do it right: it should play the prerace cutscene without music or text, and once it gets to the camera angle when it's behind both cars, pop the disk back in and the game will force the race to start, bypassing the requirements entirely.
I’ve never understood how to play this game. This was always a game I’d play when I was burned out from other games and just free roam. Very aesthetically pleasing game.
@VeilsideTofu I do understand that. Don't set the expectation too high. At least they managed to bring back the game since this is the series that what makes them so famous.
I think vid could've included scramble boost alongside the NA boost, I legit didn't know scramble boost exist until I only have 1 city left to beat and thought just setting the turbo boost in the setting is enough lul.
@@VeilsideTofu no, I mean pressing select in a turbo car for scramble boost isn't explained anywhere either. The turbo boost setting does affect both normal driving and scramble, but it's a different thing entirely.
The game doesnt really divide tires into hard-medium-soft etc. Stock just wear out the slowest and the grip difference between fresh and used is smaller than with S tires (+ they dont suck in rain like S lmao).
I played half of TXR3 without knowing that boost feature is a thing. Was frustrated at how some bosses just fly away until learning that select activates boost, would've been great if I learned about it earlier
You have to find mods (4k Upscale + wide-screen) and change the PCSX2 nightly build game settings for that specific game so it doesn't mess with other ROMS
I bought it on ps2 online from luckie games a few months ago after watching videos on it and wanting to try it myself. Im not affiliated with them they're just a good place for classic games
So you telling me I beat this game with no tricks jus pure skill and hours of me getting pissed cuz I couldn't beat any of the of the last bosses and conditions of wanderers
US version? If so, you definitely didn't beat 'Whirlwind Fanfare', since a localization error meant you could never meet his challenge requirement (especially infuriating, since the shitbox they drove looked like it would get stomped by your starter car...)...
1. Do you even know what a fucking rev limiter is 2. I fucking know that, why would you tell me this. Im making a fucking beginners guide for people who are new to the game, not for myself you fucking clown.

Good to know it works here too used to do this in TXR Zero

@@Undertaker93 in Zero you don't even need to pop out the disc, just leaving the post race menu up while it's in auto pilot will give you mileage
I used to leave it on autopilot and go to bed. Everything was unlocked by the time I woke up.

Play TXR ZERO then, best TXR on highways imo
You can recharge the NA Boost by going into a parking area and doing the same trick again

@@wackomanx i know but I’d rather not get hyped too early

Nah I'm hyped as fuck. I'm a very optimistic person so I get disappointed much more if it fails, but man I love TXR so much! Please be good 🙏
I think vid could've included scramble boost alongside the NA boost, I legit didn't know scramble boost exist until I only have 1 city left to beat and thought just setting the turbo boost in the setting is enough lul.
I left that out because you set up the turbo boost in car's settings, but the NA boost isnt mentioned at all in the game If Im correct.

Nice, Played that game for years, But didn't know some of these tricks.
Never realized till now that Normal tires apparently doubled as Hard tires.

I ran those S tires on Rain just drifting my way through the corner on my FC and MR2 🤣.
Muito bom! Terminei o Tokyo 3 no ps2 fat e até hoje não sabia deste boost com o Select .
Mto útil, só que aquece o motor muito rápido, se n souber usar da superaquecimento

They got this PXC2 QT version and you can upscale it to 4K I know for a fact but I lost all of my game saves I was so tight

Not really, it can take some attempts so if you're on an emulator, do a save state and try over and over again.
