the toyota rsc rally raid car can now be put to rest. it served us well as a car for grinding money for years. i remember grinding for multiple RSC's just to get a nissan r390 road going version. it felt like hours, but the payoff was worth it
Man that is not the best way to grind money, I used it to grind just to buy a decent enough mercedes to get through the silver arrow event, then you turbo the Touring mercedes and go to the DTM championship, do it in spec B, I find that it's better if I just do the qualifying in the first race, as the AI has trouble passing on that track, on all others just go directly into b spec mode, let it pass and get it down to the 2nd or 3rd speed mode to make it safely to the finish line in 3 times speed, a few minutes of this award you a racing mercedes plus around 200k credits, sell the merc for 750k and you get 950k credits by driving a couple of qualifying laps and then waiting 10 minutes for the races.

Whoa... I almost can't believe that there were some hidden cheat codes in Gran Turismo 4 after all of these years of discovery and I didn't know that were some cheats in the game at all, until now! I'm very impressed with the results though and I have one question: Will the gold any event cheat work for championship events too?
I just checked the Golded Event cheat code, and it doesn't require the player to enter and exit the race; first, it triggers the game's auto-save function, and second, the gold trophy appears upon exiting and re-entering GT Mode.
Truly amazing! First video game I ever played, I really can't express in words how excited this makes me. I'm assuming cheated golds in the licenses and races don't raise the progress percentage or offer gift cars for completion though? Would be interesting if they did.
Actually, some of those Cheats must have been known in the year 2009. Why? Because on Christmas that year I got a PS2 with GT4 + memory card with some files on it, including a GT4 Campaign with 100% completion. The interesting part is that the Balance was 10,000,000 Cr. and some circuit variants weren't actually unlocked, so I Had to unlock them First. Meanwhile, all Missions, Licence tests and Events were completed with each time a Gold trophy, but the Cars that you get when winning them weren't in the Garage (I mean, Sure, they could have been sold, but since the Balance was 10 Mill, why would you sell any of those? Not for Money, that's for sure.). Since the 10 million Cr. and the 100% completion seems very suspicious to be the result of the Cheats mentioned in the video, that means that those must have been known earlier but for whatever reason not publicly shared. 😅

Whoever found these codes deserves head everyday by a 10/10 baddie of their choice.
I wonder if the license pass cheat is at all related to how the game transfers the nat'l B and A licenses when using the Save Data Transfer feature.
I set a gold at every license but 1, and lost the save when migrating to a new windows, so this will be perfect for me.
imagine u waited just one day untill april 1st to upload this
It took nearly 20 years of random button combination pressing to discover these cheats..
I wish I could remember the exact race and exact version, but I do believe it was in the first GT with B spec. But there was an F1 race that was on Deep Forest where you could take either any car, or a Toyota MR2, and in B spec, the power and performance would be boosted to F1 level. Raced it many times and thought it was pretty cool. If I still had a PS2, I'd search for it. But's definitely there.
Nice we now need to find such cheat for GT7… oh wait
This is frikken awesome!
Imagine if we knew about this as kids
Indeed! My 15 year old self would’ve been elated back in 2009.

For a moment I thought this might have been an accidentally posted April fools joke
