I think one of my favorite fun facts about Kristoff's ballad was that his voice actor put in his ALL into the performance, thinking it'd be something super dramatic and such, only to see they had turned it into a funny, 80/90's music video referencing sequence. He still liked it though, haha. OH! If I could recommend a movie, I think you should either try Vivo or The Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'hoole. Vivo was literally released a few days ago and has a BOPPING soundtrack as an animated musical. The second film was released 2010 but it's still really good and has great action scenes.

This movie teaches how things are never what they seem. How it's easy to blame people but sometimes you need to dig deeper and look pass your prejudices. And how bad it is to keep secrets from your family. How ironic Elsa froze and she says the cold does bother her. I like Anna because she never gives up on family and does next right thing even if she doesn't know what the results will be. I really enjoyed this movie⛄

The giants are based on real Scandinavian mythology trolls, they walk at night and sleep in the day because in the original versions giants turn to stone in sunlight. There's also myths about smaller kind of trolls stealing children and replacing them with their own... kind of raises questions about Kristoff's adoption don't you think?

🏠 Glad you enjoyed this movie too! We surprised our girls with a trip to see it the evening it came to theaters. Had it all planned out but told them we had to see if we could get tickets when we got to the theater but our friend had already purchased them weeks in advance.
Olaf does have a special series of his own where he just recaps the events of other Disney movies from his...unique perspective. It's hilarious. I'd also recommend watching the shorts that happen between the 1st and 2nd film for a bit more added context. The movie to song ratio of this is nothing compared to the animated movie Strange Magic(Lucas Films), which all songs are covers of actual songs(I will argue there's a couple covers that are better than the OG). But back to the point, Strange Magic can hardly go like...5 minutes most of the time without a song. It's pretty crazy, and can prove pretty cringe when you're not prepared for it.

Here's my Frozen 3 pitch: Anna and Kristoff are finally getting married, and so is Honeymaren, to someone else in the tribe. The tribe leader finds her instead, and tells her that they'd never reject her over something like that, so while Elsa may not have her feelings returned, she at least now knows she'd be accepted. Now its the wedding day, but already, there's something wrong. Now it's only Anna and Kristoff getting married, and there's no sign of Honeymaren. But determined to not ruin Anna's wedding day, they decide to have it as planned, though Elsa is still worried about ehat could've possibly happened. Flash forward however many years you want, and this time Honeymaren IS getting married, complete with a fakeout where Ryder is walking down the aisle with wedding guy, only, surprise: they're just the best men, and it's Elsa and Honeymaren.
People always talk about things that confuse them while the movie/show is explaining what they're confused about but they're too busy talking over it Lol
Frozen is the only movies where I'm not bothered by too many songs, because every single one tells more in the few minutes than they could have without them! Not just the lyrics but even the notes have a purpose, it's insane how well thought out the songs are, every single one is telling every persons character arch perfectly! And, the reason I think you're getting Moana vibes from the music is because the non-singing soundtrack of Frozen is inspired by the Scandinavian Nordic Sàmi people's oral singing, what the Northuldra is based on. They used the same elements in the first movie as well, and the high pitched sound Elsa's hearing is the same kind we heard when Elsa ran over the freezing fjord in the first movie and it's actually a woman not an instrument.

The opening music is actual, traditional Sami chants/music. There was a LOT of research and effort put into accuracy for the first film and this one.
The animation in this movie was amazing, especially Elsa's powers.
