Re: health check. I'm having anxiety attacks and I called the nurse that works with my doctor and she said she'd absolutely never heard of that in perimenopause. I was flabbergasted. Instead took a history over the phone of all the medications that I'm taking and supplements which have been stable for the last many years. So sometimes we don't get help going to our medical Network. :(

Yes, I do hear that quite often with the menopause which is such a shame :(

I had terrible panic attacks , and irregular heartbeats when I was going through the perimenapause. It got so bad that I spent a night in the hospital because I didn't know what was happening to me, very scary!!! If you Google panic attacks, it's actually very common with the perimenapause but we don't ever really hear about that being one of the symptoms. You may need some medication just temporarily and has needed just to get you through, our body is totally controlled by our hormones. Hope this information helps you!! 🙂

I've also had very bad anxiety with the perimenopause my chest feels heavy at times, I have shallow breathing. I feel scared all the time. I couldn't stop crying. Valerian root had has helped to take the edge off. Little by little I've been feeling better. But I can tell you I've always had anxiety but this has been on going and persistent. Hormones can really do a doozy on you. I'm beyond grateful for these videos they have helped me through some very hard times.

Eileen this was so helpful. I'm 45 and only seeing subtle signs of perimenopause right now but I've started doing self care and I'm already noticing positive changes. I do my gratitude journal, I spend time every day exercising either in my gym or walks with my husband and dog in nature. I look forward every afternoon to my cup of tea and watching a comedy with my husband and having a healthy snack. I've also found magnesium, Vitex and a good multivitamin to be helpful. My doctor (who is a GP but is into integrative medicine too) recently ordered lots of blood tests to check and I'm low on iron and zinc so I'm addressing this. The most important thing I've found is yoga and breathing. Every day I do a yoga practice even if it's a 10 minute one it's helped me feel calmer and also nice herbal teas. I hope some of my things that help can help some others too 😊

Fantastic Lindsey, you seem to be doing really well! Great to hear that you got the tests, having a supportive doctor can make all the difference.

OMG I am so glad I had found you, you have been a godsend! I never knew that all my issues were all due to menopause, I have learned so much!! It's been 7 years since my first night sweat. I'm going thru post menopause now and still learning from you. I'm about at year 2 from my last period and hoping will be over hot flushes soon. I can't say it enough, Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! ♥️

Thank you for this video, such important information and things we often overlook, I will be calling my GP for a general health check, if I can ever get an appointment. Yoga, walking, gardening are all my favourite things, and I have noticed if I cut down on the surgery treats which I find so hard, that helps with the hot flushes and night sweats. Stay strong lovely fellow ladies xx

The water tip always needs repeating4me. Sage also does work for me in herb tea and pills(alas the Vogel have lactose so I got Solgar pills). I do have your Vogel sage tincture but it seems not to have worked4me. Your plantain tincture(plantago I think it is) really does work excellently for me for my severe sinusitis! The music tip keeps reminding me that I've forgotten this huge relaxing part of my life. Many articles and pals have suggested music4me and I was obsessed with music since young and went to gigs and was a hippie and played music ie listened to it.....most of my life...til past 10r more years....I've simply forgotten it's power r I am so used 2social media stimuli I can't come down2level of music. I do sing a bit and play and like some Irish ballads by Karan Casey and Cara Dillon but I have lost that listening to music that I used2 do hours every day and it helped me....thanks Eileen....love that scarf!!

You're welcome :) Yes, we can sometimes forget the 'old fashioned' simple things!
My scarf is the new company one, which I was given on my latest trip to Switzerland this month, I love it too!

      Hi Ekta
I am sorry to hear that you are struggling with this, unfortunately, there can be a number of reasons such as a severe hormonal shift, diet, (we know that diet can have a profound effect on mood!) lifestyle or even digestive problems so it is difficult to say what would be best without knowing why this is happening. I would suggest going to see a Nutritional Therapist who can find out what's happening and formulate a personal treatment plan for you.
In the meantime, just to get things started, avoid certain foods/drinks in your diet such as caffeine, fizzy drinks, fruit juices, high salt and sugar foods, wheat and dairy to see if this makes a difference.
      Best Wishes
      Eileen
