- This video shows my process of building a drone, I've been thinking about it for a very long time and I finally collected all the parts over the course of2 yrs lol, For my flight controller I used an Arduino UNO. MY gyro is: MPU6050 gyro//accelerometer, frame used is fake DJI F450. All the parts are listed down below and for the most part you can get everything you need from aliexpress or some similar sites.

Hey there. Amazing drone, i swear i am watching this the fifth time. What i thought about is a testing range and equipment. You can add measuring pieces and some transparent hard plastic for the safety of yourself :)

I'm sorry for asking did you put a motor driver for the motors
Its an esc, you just send signals from arduino to them, and then they control the motors:)

Hey I was wondering for the FS IAB6 receiver, where did you plug in the pins for B/VCC? did you only use the top row of the receiver of CHANNELS 1-4 for Throttle, pitch, yaw, and roll?
also have a question, when the arduino flight controller isn't plugged into the computer what powers up the arduino when its on the drone frame? The LIPO battery connected to the ESCs?
@@jaronzhu9843 huh, honestly I don't even remeber at this point, but I'm pretty sure there is a B/VCC pin noted on the receiver, as for everything else, you're only using the pins to send the signal, upon configuring your drone you're gonna be "asked" to enter those input so it doesnt even matter what order you put them in, as for the arduino power, yes, I basically soldered another 2 wires so i can power up the arudino since arduino takes (8-20V) and my lipo battery was 12.1V, tho be very cereful you don't fuck up the + and -, cuz you're gonna fry your arduino, I did twice:)

I made a drone with Arduino Uno R3, MPU 6050, Flysky Transmitter i6x.
All connected and turned on but motors are not spinning when I turn throttle stick for first time.
Throttle value remains 1500 on multiwii screen.
Please advise what to do

thanks for shared, i have a question why don't use power from esc? because if do it we will se how much vol from pin is left. this is just my opinion and i don't know if we do that, what problems will we face. have a good day
I don't understand what you mean by that, what esc power? esc's are also powered by the main battery, so at the end of the day it doesnt matter where we draw the power from because it's from the same battery, plus i have no idea how you'd draw the power from the esc
@@ekaeo sorry for not being clear. i mean ecs will have three wires output 1 signal + and - so why not use + - to supply rx because i see on tx of flysky i6 can see current vol number of tx so we can know when to stop. When use 5v from arduino we waste the feature on tx
@@dinhtanloi536 sorry, but i'm kinda having trouble understanding you xd, I think what you're refering to is why didn't i connect the receiver to the esc? But it really doesnt matter where the receiver draws the power as long as it get anywhere between 3.3-5v

It is possible to use a Bluetooth module instead of using the receiver?
I'm not sure, but the first thing that comes to my mind is how slow and janky bluetooth is + the most important this is, I'm not sure whether u can adjust the frequencies

@@nikhilankam3049 If I understand you correctly, yes. Simply, as long as you throttle stick is in the middle, your drone is gonna hold itself in the air.

found this looking into arduino old multiwii FCs. Arduino is way out of fashion compared to STM32 but I kind of want to build one anyway out of boredom.
Hmm, depends what you mean by out of fashion xd, but in general I like arduino cuz I know both C and C++ well, other than that I guess there's more arduino content, but feel free to do whatever u want, good luck
@@ekaeo just for FCs 8 bit control disappeared to make room for faster control loops and more serial peripherals. all of multiwii's descendants lost support for arduinos.
Also don’t be too hard on yourself about the code! I would be so happy if I could even code basic things in arduino, I really wish you’d post the video of the code just so I can try to get an idea of what it takes to code something that big! Peace man, arduino is fucking sick

IMO So from what I have seen he put some resistors for brushless motors wich gose hand in hand with ohm symbol from his notebook. Could be because the current is to high for the motors, but whatever part motors or not, he wants to reduce the current a component get from power supply.

Hey, when I connected the reciever to arduino, the reciever led did not turn on and even the signals are not coming on the ide serial monitor, any idea?
nice name change my guy, but still man.. if the led is not turning on how do you expect any signal to be coming through, you're obviously not supplying any power to your receiver if it's not working, check your connections and try again, also i suggest investing 5€ into a multimeter so your don't ask stupid questions like this again
Yeah but I'm doing with the arduino only that has been connected to the computer which I'll later connect to my battery, I think I'll have to buy a new reciver
Also, I checked the connections like 20 times and have tried many different combos but all have the same error. Also, dude I'm way younger than you think, it's just a hobby for me and I'm not even close to an engineer, hence I cannot just program things that easily. Im just a beginner, that's why I just need some help to get started. I hope you understand.
