    Visanne changed my life in such an amazing way, im super grateful to my doctor for recomended this to me ! My period stopped right away , ever since i never had a single bleed, and its been many years, its so amazing because i had such awfull pain even with a week before i used to get my period, would be so bad i would faint and even trow up because of the awfull pain and no pain killers would ever help, now im living my best life, also i notice i am more stabile mentally, i can keep my calm so much easier, i rarely get annoyed.. unlike before when i was a thicking bomb cause of my awfull mood swings.. never really noticed any side effects.. i have about 4 years since im on visanne and i dont want to let it go !

    I was diagnosed with endometriosis and 2019, I was having seizures from the pain and I was hospitalized for five days. Online I try to understand the condition and I went to several doctors. Thankfully I found two amazing doctors where I am from. And they prescribed me Visanne. At the beginning I was very emotional and I was crying every day for things that I really ridiculous. I couldn’t understand why. And today I wanted to revisit new videos about the condition and I came to see this video and I’m so grateful because it gave thorough understanding of the condition. Thank you for the video so much. ♥️🌺

    Oh my word! What a fantastic video! Thank you Dr James. My life has been totally consumed by this condition. I need a fully integrated approach. I have had surgery and multiple hormone treatments, I even had to leave my job and start working from home. I have not found a health care professional in my area able to provide a holistic treatment approach. Most probably because I have not been able to ask for what I actually need. Thank you for giving me the information needed to advocate for myself and hopefully find some relief.

    Thank you for the vid. Cannot emphasise enough how people respond differently to meds.
    My dr recommend Visanne because my 1 year of insomnia on different oral contraceptive pills for endometriosis and cyst management. Sounds like this one works a bit differently.

    Hi Dr.Carmen, thanks for this really informative video. I’ve just been prescribed this med while I wait for potential surgery. What I’m wondering is, do women with endo always have a higher level of oestrogen? I’m concerned about my hormone balance being thrown off. I already find it very difficult to regular my emotions and anxiety but it seems like the only way to know if this works is to try it

    Amazing video! I've been living with endometriosis for four years and I'm now learning new things from you! I've been on Visanne for about 2 years now, I had a chocolate cyst that now is reduced and not seen in the ultrasound scan anymore. I thought it's time to start anti-inflammatory diet and living an overall healthier life and maybe get off Visanne since I'm doing better, but my gynecologist doesn't agree and tells me I should be on Visanne forever basically, and that lifestyle and diet changes won't help me. I'm concerned because cancer runs in the family from both of parents' sides, so living with Visanne sounds dangerous. What do you think? Sorry for the long paragraph, thank you :)

      Hello. I'm not a doctor. I'm just a fellow endometriosis patient who discovered my condition three months ago so I've been on Visanne for three months.
      From what you have written, I feel that you should get a second opinion.
      If your doctor is not addressing your concerns, ask around and see another who will.
      I wish you good health and happiness!

      @@angelaroxette5371hi there, I have endometriosis and I was prescribed Visanne. However I did not start on with it due to the mentioned side effects. May I know if you have any side effects from taking it?

    • @angelaroxette5371
      @angelaroxette5371 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mcng3484 hello! I have not had any side effects that cause concern. The occasional headache or bloating could have been due to Visanne or something else, so it's not conclusive for me.
      But since I started it in March 2023, I have not had a period. It's already the end of June now. But I have had random spotting.
      So I don't have a cycle now and I can't predict my mood swings like I used to be able to. But I do not have any more pain which was the whole point of Visanne for me.
      I hope this helps.

    • @mcng3484
      @mcng3484 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@angelaroxette5371 thank you so much for your reply. One more question if you don't mind, beside the headache and bloating, do you experience any depressive feelings/moods? I'm quite concerned about this as I'm generally not a chirpy person and I tend to get moody which is why I'm holding back from trying out this medication.

    • @angelaroxette5371
      @angelaroxette5371 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mcng3484 well, yes I do notice that I do get triggered a bit more but my supportive husband and teenage kids have been very patient with me when I tell them, "I don't know what's wrong." In the past, they knew I was having pms but now I don't know when my moodiness will hit.
      My doctor was aware of side effects hence he called me in for a consultation about a month after I started just to hear if any side effects inhibit me from living a normal life. I told him I am ok because these "bloating", "headaches" (rare) and moodiness could easily be just daily life anyway. They are not debilitating for me. Unlike the pain before I started Visanne… that was debilitating! I couldn't walk!!
      You clearly have concerns and rightly so. Do talk to your doctor. And if you are not happy with what your doctor tells you, change doctor. Heh.

    • @dr.carmenjames

      Because Visanne is hormone based, abnormal uterine bleeding is an expected potential side effect, however prolonged bleeding (beyond 7 days) should be discussed with your doctor
