I'm so glad I came across your channel. I have made this twice already. The first time I followed along as you did, but the second time I added the garlic and mushrooms( you suggested). They were both great. Thank you so much for sharing. Last, I love your blog as well. I'm learning so much. You have such a wonderful personality. Please keep doing what you're doing. God bless
This looks delicious! Just a tip: I started replacing anything with sour cream with low fat, PLAIN, Greek yogurt. Everyone thinks I am crazy, but it seriously tastes the same as sour cream, plus it reduces that fat/calorie load! Thanks for sharing this recipe ... I'm always looking for new slow cooker recipes! :)
I made this tonight and WOW!! It's so good! My husband says he will never order Chicken Alfredo at a restaurant again, because this is way better. Thank you so much for this recipe!
You are such an amazing woman. I love watching your videos. They inspire me. We are a family of 8. I plan on homeschooling for the first time this Summer. Thanks for all your tips.
Wow, thank you for another good recipe and you are a good mama for not eating any noodles! Smart to do the noodles separate! That's what I'll do the next time I make it. It's a family favorite in our house!
Will be doing this for sure!!!! Yum!!!!! My mom used to make us garlic, broccoli, garlic butter once a week as a kid. One of my favorite dinners/lunch/snacks I passed down to my kids
I made this for my crew and they loved it!! I subbed spinach for broccoli and added Parmesan cheese! I always come to your channel for meal planning inspiration and I love how real and relatable you are. I’m a mom of 6 so to see another mom who “gets it” is awesome 👏I just started my own channel to help other large family moms and allergy moms...two of my kiddos have severe food allergies so all of my stuff has to be egg and nut free. I’ve re-learned SO much 😂
I will have to try this! I usually do the same dish but I put in 6 pounds chicken breasts, 2 sticks butter, 2 8 oz pkgs cream cheese, a sprinkle of sea salt and about 4 tbsp garlic. I never thought of adding sour cream. Thanks!
I had to smile at the end. I imagine Gabriel being the most likely to jump in front of the camera and you surprised him today when he wasn't ready hehe.
im your new fan. i only have 1 kid so we do not cook so much. i like to see u cooking in large amount. hope u can show videos of your kids enjoying the food as well. have a nice day
Looks yummy! Wonder how it would turn out if you doubled the cream cheese and sour cream to create more sauce. Would be delicious with some great parmesan over the top too!
Fingers crossed, this will be enjoyed in lieu of the Marie Callender's version :) There is crockpot opposition here, yet I will try this one and maybe with the subs of greek yogurt and light cream cheese :). Thanks!
Hi Jamerrill, I just mentioned your Broccoli chicken recipe in my latest vlog, as I will be making it this week - though I had a mental blank regarding your channel name - sorry! Haha....I mentioned your channel name in my comments box though - I just think this recipe looks so comforting and delicious - and, yes - adaptable! :-)
great real life recipe, Jamerrill!! I have so missed your videos. I check for them OFTEN :) and I think of you when I'm at Sharp Shopper gettin my deals :) have you ever roasted broccoli? I just discovered it and it's so much easier for me... Not that stove top steaming is that difficult, but I hate waiting for water to boil and draining the hot water etc... Roasting is just on a cookie sheet in the oven. Looking forward to more videos when you have time :) thank you
Spread a frozen bagful of broccoli FLORETS on a cookie sheet. Drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle with Garlic salt heavily and some pepper. 425 for 25-30 minutes. Cook longer than your instincts want u to; I take them out once they start looking like I have burned the little floret tips. I think they get sweet/Carmelized when they look almost burned? Kids love. :) have fun trying it out. Ps, if ur pan is full and they aren't spaced apart, they need extra time.
The Encouraging Homeschool Mom I just made this and it was so yummy! Love watching your videos. I need to remember to half all your recipes for now. We are a family of four and growing.
Maybe this has been asked before, but isn't Country Crock margarine and not butter? And margarine is off plan for Trim Healthy Mama isn't it? I love your videos, you make homeschool life seem much more manageable than I think it is. Haha :)
+The Encouraging Homeschool Mom I was wondering if it was because it was a recipe for the whole family-real butter gets quite expensive! Thanks for the reply and I definitely try to remind myself to use what I have to make it work the best I can. I learned that from your videos! 😁
I used only 3 very large chicken breasts and the sauce broke as it cooled. Any suggestions? They were about 3.05 lbs. Please help, as the sauce was delicious and I want to make again.
+The Encouraging Homeschool Mom oh! I saw them at the store today. How do you cook it and would you eat it with spaghetti sauce? I just had it once steamed...ugh
I know I musta seen this video beofre but I want to make a weekly menu off of your videos BUT I think we should use real butter or heavy cream because that margarine stuff is full of junk........ BTW I used just water and salt/little butter for my mashed potatoes so you really don't need the margarine for stuff ;) wink wink.... healthy or nothin dear! xo

+Katie Anne Plans I totally do this too. Mostly because I always have plain yogurt and never have sour cream. "Necessity is the mother of invention."
Haha exactly! :)
Kaffeinated Katie I agree :) I used the half fat/lighter cream cheese for this recipie.
I tried it on a taco& it was nasty to me 😭😖

Yummy, happy so you again ! Have missed you, any update on a new house?
Have you tried spaghetti squash makes get spaghetti plus, there is black bean pasta. If you want to have a healthier pasta option :)
The best lighter version of Alfredo I have tried. I forgot the sour cream but made a DIY Buttermilk. LoL.

Awesome I so need to get a slow cooker x
GOODWILL always has them.
Made this and it was delicious
I have never made it that way, does it seem a bit dry as I like some sauce for the noodles..looks yummy
How do slow-cookers work? Because I saw the whole chicken and then I saw it shredded ... Did you shredded it yourself or the slow-cooker did it?
What size of slow cooker do you you use for a family of your size?
The Encouraging Homeschool Mom I just made this and it was so yummy! Love watching your videos. I need to remember to half all your recipes for now. We are a family of four and growing.
Hi do you have to put the cup of butter in it? I'm from the UK wish we had been boxes of Philadelphia light that how we get little pots of 200 gms😕
I bet that tastes great
tasty & easy - gotta love it! :)
How many servings does this make? 😊
Instead of eating it over broccoli u should eat it over spiralized zucchini :)

Did you leave it for 4 hours the way it was before it got all shredded? When you mixed it did it all fall apart into shreds after cooking?
Wow thanks! We have a slow cooker, but I've never used it.
girl girl....u r funny....:) blessings to u guys
yummy!!!!
is there a printable recipe?
This is in the pot right now! I'll try to behave myself too and NOT have pasta! I will steam up a cauliflower and broccoli medley. ...mmm
+The Encouraging Homeschool Mom oh! I saw them at the store today. How do you cook it and would you eat it with spaghetti sauce? I just had it once steamed...ugh

i miss your videos
I think I will try this recipe, however I'm going to add some cheese to it. Wont be as healthy as yours! :P
I have never seen this recipe with out Parmesan cheese I use same recipe but calls for 1 cup Parmesan cheese
So, u use 1 c. of sour cream, 1 c. of butter and 1 pkg. of cream cheese PLUS 1 c. of grated parm? I have got to try that!
I know I musta seen this video beofre but I want to make a weekly menu off of your videos BUT I think we should use real butter or heavy cream because that margarine stuff is full of junk........
