Five months ago I had undergone a surgery for ABC in the calceneum (Right Leg). Still I am recovering. It has ruined my life because I was a regular marathon runner. Now I dont know when I will fully recover to run a marathon.Nice explanation

Hi Tejaswi, hope you are doing good.
Are you still in recovering stage? If not how long it took for you
As I have ABC in my femur bone of size 23*11*10mm and this was in the year 2020, Don't know if the size has increased?
How are the pain levels right after the surgery? What precautions to be taken can we do squats/running/walking any as such?
I'm about to take a surgery but don't have enough courage and I'm depressed about this thing
After December I have to go back to my office which is in another state.
I'm worried about the pain levels. Could you please elaborate. Also, I have osteopenia (weak bones)
I would like to know have you gone under keyhole or bone curettage? Did the doctor tell you to change your diet?
      Thank you
      Ayan

@@aryavishnu3902 Hi Ayan, I have recovered 90 percent. My recent scan shows that my bone has aggregated successfully and my doctor said I can run. But I still feel pain when I stand continuously for an hour or so. That's what bothers me a lot, I can't do household chores as I used to do before. I wear soft chappals to avoid pain. But this is not stopping me from doing exercise, I am using soft gels on shoes to avoid the pain to run. I do yoga and pranayama time to time. I was prediabetic when I had the surgery, now my sugar levels are normal without any medications. So after the surgery make sure to check on your diet because you cannot burn the calories. So I would suggest you to totally avoid sugar. Eat lots of fiber, avoid soft drinks and junk food.
In regards to surgery, in April of this year, I contracted covid and had admitted to the hospital for a week. Even though my oxygen was above 94 Spo2. It felt like a hell because I experienced breathlessness, heart aches and Heart palpitations for around 2 months. I suffered with Post covid symptoms for around 2 months. Compared to the Covid, the surgery was an easy rope to walk. I sang through the whole surgery. I joked with doctors, attendants and nurses during live surgery. Surgery was very smooth , I did not feel lot of pain. But after surgery you would not able to pee for 12 hours becaue of anesthesia. After surgery I received lot of support from my family and friends. I had undergone bone grafting technique using keyhole technique .
