    I can't tell you how much these videos have helped me get free and heal from a lifetime of emotional and mental strongholds. thank you. I'm rebuilding my life after decades of abuse and oppression and codependency and what I thought was mental illness but seems to be just conditioning

    After my anxiety and panic reaching a high last year I started reading and listening to everything I could on anxiety and panic and felt like it was helping understanding how the brain works but also felt a little overwhelmed by the info and then I come across your videos and it’s like all the clouds in the sky are starting to move away and it is all making so much sense!! I am so grateful that I found your videos!! Thank you so much for taking to the time to make them! I have only watched a few but am so excited for everything I had been conditioned to think to be reframed! Thank you!!

    This helps self-inflicted guilt habits, but I wish I knew how to better cope with guilt that gets projected onto me from external sources.

    Hey! I’m in uni final year, and I need to write my dissertation. I have less than 25 days which might not be enough for me to write something decent as I am not native to the language I am studying. Maybe my decision to study uni in a different country especially studying humanities, was not the best. But I have been feeling guilty ever since I started uni. I never felt enough, and I keep procrastinating, and I do anything but start my work. The burden is on my shoulders, and I can’t say now that I am not 100% guilty. As much as I want to say it is because of having anxiety, I can’t believe that . Nothing helps to relieve this guilt.

    How to deal with shame: put yourself in exposure to check reality rather than taking full responsibility.

    Never “should” on yourself. That’s self shaming and it isn’t healthy for anyone.

    But what if it is your fault? How to get rid of the shame?

      1. It is what it is.
      2. Will it really matter in one or 6 months time.
      3. People aren’t perfect. We make mistakes so don’t hold yrself to impossible all or nothing standards.
      4. Self Compassion.
      5. Yr never 100% responsible.

      @@jasresearch7218 CBT is powerful. I’ve gotten as much from this Channel as I have from my psych and we are going deep into CBT. You need to retrain the mind how to think. It takes time but if you work at it it will come. It’s like building a muscle repetition repetition repetition. 👍

    How do u know u made the wrong decision. When at the time u taught it was the right decision u made .now u feel guilty and regret because ur seeing it from another perspective now

    • @SelfHelpToons
      @SelfHelpToons  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The results of our decisions are often beyond our control because we have to make decisions based on the information we have available at the time, and there are usually lots of unknown factors we can't account for. So just because a decision turns out unfavorably doesn't mean it was a bad decision, we may still have made the best decision based on what we knew, it just means we didn't have enough information available to make a decision that turned out better. And we often don't know what the results would have been if we'd made a different decision. Maybe those results would have been just as unfavorable or even worse.

      I found this very validating after trying to get my life back in order after I made a very foolish decision because I was made a fool of, being lured into it under false pretenses, and not knowing the truth until it was too late and I was very upset and bitter and didn’t have a back up plan. I’m trying to pretend as if it didn’t happen and just move forward, as close to back to the way life was before the misadventure.
