      Eric O. at South Main Auto is definitely up there. He is as good with cars as Alex is with electronics. Similar diagnostic approaches and similar results: Other shops sending work they cannot fix themselves.

    it's amazing all the progress you've made since you started uploading videos to youtube. The work you do is incredible. I am passionate about electronics. I am trying to set up my own workshop so that I can get out of this overwhelming job. things here in Uruguay are double or triple as expensive as in the USA. Trying to get all the tools here is an investment for 10 years or more. I am proud to watch your videos and see your progress on repairs. I have been following you for a few months but I have seen each of your videos and I wait every day for more. Greetings from Uruguay and I hope you continue like this.

    Love this videos. If you have the time, can u tell me what the flux actually is? Is it some kind of chemical solutions that solder dont like? since the solder only hits the copper parts after applying flux?

    • @HNedel
      @HNedel 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Flux is preventing the solder from oxidizing when heated, and it flows better. The whole board is covered with solder mask, except for the pads. This mask is what is preventing the solder from sticking to the board.
