- The Unihertz Titan is a rugged Blackberry inspired Kickstarter smartphone. It packs a physical keyboard similar to Blackberry devices of the past. Unlike Blackberry however Unihertz has focused on durability turning the Titan into a tank.

This phone would be perfect for me. Im a builder/designer and the ruggedness and long lasting battery is exactly what someone in my field of work needs. The price point is just right since it'll be cheaper to replace if it does happen to get crushed or dropped.

@@David-eq4xb Usually High end devices gets two major updates. I have a mid range Xiaomi device for almost an year the mi 8 lite and it's still working flawlessly. I might have changed the rom to pixel experience but that's not the case it's still good and no lags.
Once they get all the stuff worked out on this I’d totally buy it. My iPhone is constantly covered in crap from work and the touch screen is not a fan of it. I think it would help me cut down on screen time too. Let’s hope I remember this in a few moths and check back in lol.
I got one of those it's called my BlackBerry passport and it still works like a charm and it's built like a tank.

I have not used it in a long time, so I went and found it and charged it so I could turn it on.
It's not looking good...the only apps that work are the camera, the calculator, the photo gallery and the weather app.
The phone still looks very nice, it has no physical damage but the apps don't work.

I bought a Passport when it first came out, after years of other Blackberries, now run a Motion to get Android. Titan gives both! Hope it makes it thru Kickstarter - love it! Thanks WillyDu 🙂😎 (think there was some other bearded bloke involved too 😉)

I remember having a blackberry tour in high school I felt so cool. I also remember when BBM went down for like a day and all the Albanian girls went nuts. This was of course pre-iPhone 4S. It was that phone that replaced all the blackberry’s that hadn’t converted over at that point. It was my conversion device too at the time.
They should have it be a full size phone with a slide for the physical keys so you get more of a screen but still have the tactile feedback I'd buy it

I had a curve 8900 with the ball scroller then moved to a bold 9780 with the touch sensitive scroller. Believe or not I typed up a full page of my uni dissertation on my BlackBerry whilst on a train.

BlackBerry key2 also has a virtual keyboard so you can switch back and forth from the physical keyboard and virtual keyboard
That phone is perfect for police departments. Typing out reports on a smaller PDA style device is far easier on a tactile keyboard. Walkie talkie mode is great to link between whoever you’re working with that day without broadcasting over the main dispatch channel.

I had a Curve 9360, gorgeous and cheap phone. Unfortunately, each and every BlackBerry I've had was faulty, mostly for battery/motherboards problems (a 9360, two PlayBooks, a Z10 and a Priv): I'd trust way more Unihertz at this point than BlackBerry/TCL.
Am still using a BlackBerry Keyone black edition and the love it.....

I want to do something practical with it, use it for work. Watching this on my blackberry classic. It's got BlackBerry OS but it can run android apps. BBOS is better designed than Android imo.
It can run android apps any apps and how do you do this as I want a phisical keyboard phone typing on glass when I'm continually using social media is hard man.

Well Thanks for showing a physical keypad phone in the current era of big screen phones (which are big like a tv). A keypad phone is always handy and i am too looking for such a phone.
