It's just a matter of time before this guy gets into a serious accident ... in someone else's car no less. He also has no mechanical sympathy whatsoever. There was an R8 turbo video (or supercharged, don't remember exactly) where he revved the thing to 9500 rpm and held it there for like a sold 3 seconds because it got out of shape and he didn't have the presence of mind to lift or upshift. Keep in mind that the stock limiter on those things is like 8500 ... and that's with stock power. Also plenty of videos where he's doing like 300K+ in the wet and whatever. It's just a matter of time before the German authorities look into this. Autobahn unlimited, sure, but only when it is safe, and in the wet it is limited to 80kph, not 300.

My former car was a BMW M135i...it was awesome. It had an Eventuri Intake, a HJS Downpipe, a bigger Wagner cooler, remap and a Titan exhaust from Lightweight Performance. It was a blast!!!!! I miss it.
I think the bangs from the exhaust are a bit over the top. I see that with lots of cars which are just fast, trying to imitate hypercars. I don't like it.
They give enthusiasts a bad name and are putting the cops on the tails of those whose exhausts are only slightly above the limit (which most don't really have a problem with).

M235i owner here, who did a fuck ton of changes to his m235i. Fuck that steering wheel, not a tip really just a cash grab. Grab an AK Motion as it can do much more than the steering wheel while being much cheaper aswell. (Temps, Error Codes, Exhaust Flaps etc.) The Claim on 9:30 regarding the wing leading to unstable driving i would rather say the suspension setup is not really that good and would require a few more "clicks" to stiffer setup. Also do not do your oil change every 30k (bmw claim) km but 12-15k and switch your gearbox (automatic) oil every 80k kilometer. BMW lies to you in regards to lifelong. The Gearbox manufacturer ZF says a change is needed every 80k and after i did it, it felt like a new car and the shifts were butter smooth. For the daily users i recommend the gearbox Software XHP and using a Stage 2 for daily. No more bumpy shifts in city traffic and harsh shifts in sport mode when you really want it. Also friendly reminder: Eco-Pro mode is the premature death for the valvetronic in this series.
Another N55 Owner here! I just upgrade traction with M performance lsd, is day and night difference. N55 it's sound amazing and is like naturally Aspirated engine, but B58 in x40i what master piece of power it is
Great video. Actually these cars do have a coolant temp and oil temp gauge. There's a hidden feature accessed by the odometer reset button, takes roughly 60 seconds, nice to have when you're on track.
hold down trip reset for approx 20 seconds, then it'll open a menu, press button repeatedly to 'unlock' selection. Code is last 5 numbers of VIN added. Then navigate to temperature - hold to enter temperature setting. Done@@Jsc8zaq

Never thought really thought to much about getting a BMW , plenty of friends over the years bought them new or leased then as I live in the North and like myself I would lease my Mazda 3 GT AWD Hatch Turbo , before that just the N/A GT AWD Sedan just changing them every 3-4 years but now that things have changed economically I’ve just paid cash for my car ( 2015 Accord V6-6 Coupe ) with low mileage. I’d like to keep the car as it’s a reliable, powerful V6 manual that’s no longer available but I’am also looking at grabbing a more spirited , fun car for summer that’s ready to go right away. Definitely could not afford the M3’s and M5’s that but I still like the look or the older M3’s or these M235i coupes. Wish I knew more about working on BMW engines but I don’t. But in terms of looks & performance these little cars are beautiful little rockets. I’ll have to more investigating but from what I’ve seen listed close to me. Some definite beauties to enjoy the summer in and then pack it away for winter. Any thoughts let me know…. maybe on what I should be looking for in terms of fun and relatively reliable, I know those two don’t seem to be things spoke of in terms of BMW but maybe as good as you can get. Get the bmw with the n55 engine. They are very reliable and many videos are online to teach you how to work on them if necessary. I'm on my second one, I had a F36 435i and now F23 M235i. Before that I had an accord V6. The loved that 3.5l engine, but it's no comparison to a bmw 3.0 turbo. And bmws are more balanced too, and handle like a gem
@Summer of 2017 not really.. i have put 42000 kilometers on my n55 the last 14 months.. not a single issue, besides 1 fuel injector. probably the most reliable car i have had.. and it running a bigger turbo + meth.. so i am just as happy, when i got it.. I is perfect as a daily and perfect on Nordschleife..

Honestly this pops and bangs map is terrible. I have a M135i, when I bought it it had a similar map, I wasn’t able to enjoy the car in sport/sport+ modes and had to remap it just to get rid of it. What is good about this?
The M235 GC does 0-100 in 4.6 seconds. I mean honestly. For that kind of money! This particular car is an awesome autobahn cruiser, clearly. But a whole lot more money.

No, my m235 is on 400 with no intercooler
With intercooler you can go up to 420/430
It's definitely recommended, the IATs go up very quickly with the stock cooler
