I'm so glad to see how You calmly bend and twist this tree. Raw process of its forming is something that we can't see on many videos. Your example show us how this process isn't, and doesn't need to be covered with mystery. It's not goal that counts, but trip to it is what matters. I wish You good health and many years to live and work.
Dear Mr. Chan, With the sound of nature (rain), thank you for sharing, once again, the creation of another piece of art. With kind regards, Sylvie Simard (Québec, Canada)
I am very amazed to watch all day your videos nonstop learning from every inch of the 16, 18 gauge and other wire to magically transform the tree into a stunning masterpiece of imagination! Love your work ❤️❤️❤️
Outstanding work! It's been a long while since I've dropped in your comments section. I thought you like to know I'm still watching and admiring your work from a far. I try not to bother you as you are a very busy person in life.
This video was incredibly helpful! It was amazing to see the comparison between the before and after versions of the tree! Thank you for continuing to instruct and enlighten all of us, Peter!
Hi Peter as soon as you started I thought to myself he is going to do the bag trick, and to my surprise you did suggesting one of the trunks could go, imagine my surprise you chose the opposite trunk to me, I thought the smaller trunk would make a nice literati tree and in a way you did just that, but then you showed why you are the top artist and I am not you continued to style the main trunk into a very credible pine bonsai. A couple asides the other day I used your famous bag trick when deciding which branch to remove on a juniper I was working on, the decision became obvious. The other point, I have been working on an experiment to see the best material to use to to wrap the branch or trunk before wiring, first I used vet tape which worked ok until it needs to be removed, next I tried hessian wrap which again you can buy in a roll, which worked to a point but started to shred after a while, the last one I used a product called paper raffia which you can buy on a roll it looks and acts just like genuine raffia, like raffia you can apply it wet or dry and it holds together well and stops the wire marking the bark, so all three work, it becomes a matter of choice😂.Thank you for not taking the easy way out. Joe.
Just recently discovered this channel, man i love this, its so amazing what you see in these trees and what you turn them into, now im addicted and will start practicing on my own.Ill be looking for on sale trees .What a fantastic talent you guys have
Peter, it’s so great watching the transformation of this tree. I don’t have decent sized trees to play with, I need to go acquire one or two larger trees. Thank you for the Video.
Hey there Peter, many thanks for the effort you and yours put in all of your videos. Pure, wobbly, rainy, but inspirational above all. For me the Herons videos were the start of my bonsai journey some years ago. I hope to visite Herons nursery some day. “Its like a day at the beach” I’ll tell the Mrs! Kind and wam regards from Holland.
Wow, great job Sensei Chan, I would have lopped off the right hand side and jin that graft, spring is showing signs of returning to the PNW, hope you get it there too, oh and really liked the sound of the rain, it was a nice soothing background noise, even though Mr Chan is soothing himself.
Informative as Always, Peter! Glad that you mentioned the rain. Yesterday i installed a new Surround-Receiver at my TV . I thought there is Something wrong with the trebles, a sort of White noise. I tried to Change it in the menu until you mentioned the rain hammering down 😂
I have seen videos in China of people actually cutting away a section of the branch leaving only a little on the side and folding the bar and then taping it up. To create a shape of a tree but this scares the hell out of me of losing the actual tree. I often wonder what the percentages are survival.
Difficult but it might go against the grain of the wood and it might not serve any useful purpose but always worth a try - that's what experiments are for.
An absolutely fantastic transformation. See the tree at the beginning I thought no chance but how wrong can you be? Anyone would be proud to own this tree now.
hi I have never seen you those bonsai branch bending clamps. I bought some from eBay and find them quite useful. Where is you’ve got two hooks and it’s like a G clamp you turning the centrepiece and bends or pushes should I say the middle part away and pulls back the part where the hooker, I’m actually using one on a maple at the moment which I bought cheap for 5 .99 which is very long and unwanted
can you be shown again on something else but the photographer get more closer into what is actually happening? I would like to see what you’re actually doing to split the branch. My thinking would be to put the bar on a hard service and perhaps put a chisel through the branch if that is the way you are splitting it.
for me rain is never an issue that detracts from the enjoyability of the video, in fact I find it quite relaxing
Isn't there a pop song in the '60s about 'listen to the rhythm of the falling rain' ? Shows how old I am !!

I really enjoy your videos. Your channel is the reason I do Bonsai. The sound of the birds and rain in this video was very nice.
Great to see you used electrical wire I’ve never bought any bonsai wire there’s so much wire to be found I love making it happen for free cheers 😮
What a lucky little tree to get so much attention! Magnificent transformation and vision - as always. Thanks for sharing!

Stunning transformation
Look forward to seeing how this one will do in the future.
Beautiful
Thank you so much for this episode. It was very instructive to see the work on such a complex tree. Not an easy task, and the result is fascinating.

Thanks Peter
I love his passion and confidence.
Nice 👍 raffia would be preferable as sticky tape pulls bark off 🙏
Fantastic job on this one Peter, it looks beautiful ❤

Amazing work, so beautiful and poetic, really impressive 👏
Turned out quite nicely. Well done my friend!
Big difference! Turned out really nice
Thank you for sharing, very good result! Interesting to see how you use the branch splitter.
Beautiful piece of living art...thank you🙏🙏👨🌾🚜👨🌾😍
Those tools are also used on Horses feet, trimming and shoeing
Quite dramatic endresult! Very nice!

A great creation. I would have laid the tree over to the left and turned the light branch into a cascade - so many possibilities!
Very, very nice result.
Thx for sharing Peter 😊
Beautiful work!
You are magician sir! Love your videos❤
Nice transformation.
Good job,Peter👍🌳

VERY GOOD👍👍👍
What about some trunk splitting on the long side too?
How long I have to wait for fertilise Yamadori
Wait till they are showing signs of new growth - then wait say a month before you give a gentle feed. Too much fertiliser can damage the roots.
I'm curious if it's possible to make the branch splitter cuts spiral around the trunk to effect a spiral twist.
Difficult but it might go against the grain of the wood and it might not serve any useful purpose but always worth a try - that's what experiments are for.
An absolutely fantastic transformation. See the tree at the beginning I thought no chance but how wrong can you be? Anyone would be proud to own this tree now.
This is so nice! Both the process and the final result. One question: How do you keep the needles short for good proportion? Thanks.
Very nice!!🌱🪴🌲
Looks decent man. Good luck
I leave the birds the bugs i dont want around in a ceramic shallow pot with no hole next to the bird bath 😂 the birds are happy
It very nice 👍
Lovely work Peter. Jesus bless you and all.

lovely 👋👍
That rain sounds so heavy (i can hear you clearly) Do you have an Ark on standby
Does it take longer for the branch to 'set' if branch splitting is used?
Does one have to wait longer on those branches for the wire to come off?
It wil heal in five or six months - but I would leave the wire on for at least a year.
@@peterchan3100 Thanks Peter! So not much different to a normally wired trunk?
Good morning Peter. Such a lovely and unique tree. Would you be willing to part with it??
Yes it will be sold, but not straightaway
can you be shown again on something else but the photographer get more closer into what is actually happening? I would like to see what you’re actually doing to split the branch.
My thinking would be to put the bar on a hard service and perhaps put a chisel through the branch if that is the way you are splitting it.
What if the pine lacks movement and the size/bark of the trunk prevents the use of wire?
It can then be a straight tree like a formal upright or slanting style.
robins have a life span of about 13 months
Very nice! You moved the tree from nothing to beauty!
👌👍👍🙂
Unfortunately I had to quit watching, the sound was not enjoyable. 😢
That’s what living your best life looks like! Do your children bonsai?
No my kids dont do bonsai they they are artists - they paint.
Awe too bad for the bonsai community!
