@@epicasperigus If you pick that bus before the line of scrimmage, it is empty and all the guys move towards you at a regular pace, if you pick that bus after the line of scrimmage, the bus should be full and all the guys rush after you like your seat was the last space available and you should pray for it to stop

I think the whole video was done six months ago as at the end Jon refers to the weather getting warmer. I'm guessing they just had this in the can ready to put out if they wanted to. Perhaps they just recently edited it, but I doubt they spent six months just editing. Either way, they do put a ton of effort and time into making these videos for us.

It looks like Kofie's Crapfaces were much slower than Jon's, not sure why, looked like Jon got his configs all right. But Kofie was able to run all the way up field even with 6 rushers, and Jon was never able to gain more than a little ground.
Yeah, I thought it was crazy that kofie basically got it in one try, it looked like he could have done that indefinitely except for the accidental r1 press

I recently starting reading my university textbooks with Jon's voice in mind and it instantly made me take in my readings better. It feels like every chapter is a new documentary or episode of fumble dimension. I've found a new love for reading because of the Pretty Good guy. Life is good.
Gonna start dividing subjects by voice, Kofie and Alex will make appearances shortly. I feel like this is signifigant and should be documented

He could have meant like how you don't have to do certain speed runs in one sitting. Yu-Gi-Oh forbidden memories 100% comes to mind
I like how in these videos Jon's strategy is usually trying to break the game through dumb ideas and Kofi uses experience and straightforward stats
I think Jon had something going for him though, that if he had a 6th or 7th attempt he would've won ultimately. It didn't look like there were many guys chasing him on that last attempt (although sometimes more start chasing you only after a bunch of time)
When the footage is sped up Beeftank looks like he’s riding a little unicycle
"Speedrun where you go frame by frame" -commonly refered to as a tool assisted speedrun, or TAS for short, where runners use an emulator and create a run consisting of frame perfect inputs to create a theoretical perfect run. This is more of a tool for speedrunners so they can see what insane strategies can be pulled off and decide which ones are feasible for a human to implement in a real time run.
Well aside from a tool, it's also a category of entertainment of its own. It's also sometimes known as "tool assisted superplay", when the goal isn't necessarily speed.

We used to do this with Tony Hawk Pro Skater back in the day because as long as you did a combo with the trick the timer wouldn't end.
Eventually we found a bug that literally just stuck the player in the same position and you could just spam the trick buttons without worry of having to fall, that kinda took the fun out of it but breakijg games was always fun.

I've never played a Madden game, but I identify with Jon's mistake anyway, just because of the sheer number of times I have accidentally bailed out of an aircraft in GTA Online while forgetting which button retracts the landing gear.

I realized something interesting about Kofie's winning run.
It lasted about the same length as the classic Disney movie, Lady & the Tramp.
Way back in the day I was playing Mechwarrior 2: Ghost Bear's Legacy, and there was a special mission you could unlock by playing the game on hard and completing every mission on the first try. No redos, no extra lives. I tossed the cheat codes on to make me invincible, but I still had to do the missions. It took me all damn day, and I finally got to the second-to-last mission...
and the moment I deployed I immediately accidentally hit the eject button and rocketed out of my 'mech, ending the mission in a failure.

I play a wrestling game called "FIre Pro Wrestling". In that game, i have often used Clarence Beeftank, a wrestler I downloaded off the workshop. Until now, I had no idea that he existed outside of the game or where he came from.

So this is something that I noticed in MLB The Show. Stamina isn't updated during a play. Your dudes can just flail around pointlessly for eternity and never get tired. Looks like it's the same here! I bet no Beeftank could run back and forth for an hour straight and still be standing!

In one of the more recent madden games, Lamar jackson had an X factor that essentially made him designed for this. I forget exactly what it was, but it had to do with his ability to run behind the line of scrimmage, and one unintended long term consequence is that he doesn’t really lose stamina running behind the line of scrimmage. If I can go back and find it I’ll update this bc that would be a serious game changer

How to make football most resemble baseball: a beginner's guide
It seems like you can't make a Stupid Crapface as crappy as in the older games. Like, in Breaking Madden they literally couldn't tackle anyone, even working as a group - they'd just sort of circle around and bump into them repeatedly. But here Beeftank himself is repeatedly taken down by a single Crapface.

I think your Hail Mary option was good. The problem was the score and starting time. I am willing to bet that the defense is chosen based on time on the clock/field position/down. If you started at like…the 40 yard line, 4th and 30 down by 6 with 10 seconds left… I bet you could leave the controller on the ground

I can vouch for the 255 point limit on the Madden games in the 00-09 Maddens. It was fun trying to get a situation where you could pull it off.

For the single byte score thing, these triple A games fight for every single byte of data they can, and it’s unnecessary to have the scoreboard go over 255 for 99.99999999% of games. The call of duty zombies franchise uses the same unsigned byte for things like scoreboard, round counter, maximum entity spawns and such. Relatively common :)
Where it is better to use small numbers is in the optimising of the execution of code, mathematical operations, that kinda thing. Not saving memory.

The dichotomy of the straight man funny man plays between kofi and Jon so well. The fact that kofi isn’t afraid to laugh makes some situations that much funnier (bc nothing is funnier than hearing another person laugh at a joke you were already going to laugh at)
