Fantastic thank you!! Note for anyone trying to use this with the MIDI editor: When creating the first script, use the cog icon to set the context to MIDI Editors.
Hi Myk, I have just got Reaper 7, while I absolutely love your tutorial tips here, I did a recording using my e drums Nux-DM210 on the master track I see it recorded both wav and midi, usual case double click on the track and the midi roll editor opens up, now when I double click it's just a media item properties box opens up, I know within my drums template I can access each seperate midi roll, but what's the procedure within the drums master track, thanks in advance, keep up the excellent work 👍
I have edited my template to remove fixed media lanes from the master drum track and also remove it from the media/razor edit group, and it seems to behave how I want it now. I'm planning to do a video, hopefully this week, showing tracking drums with the new fixed item lanes and how I have edited my template as I have experimented and learned a bit more
Thanks a million, I really look forward to that, I have to say your videos are more that awesome but exceptional, I only recently see your video in with Bobby of frightbox setting up a drums template, but now yes we have Reaper 7 and I'm guessing there will be changes on how the drums template will be set up on this platform, I was telling you my e drums kit Nux-DM210, not the most expensive kit but for budget it's an excellent kit for the price, setting up my drums template to work correctly with EZ Drummer 3 is of vital importance, so I can fully understand why Bobby wanted you to explain and show everyone how to do this correctly, thank you so much for your reply and again I look forward the video tutorial
Thanks for this in-depth tutorial. Wouldn't it be more convenient to add Disable auto crossfade and Enable snapping actions to the second custom action (for Normal editing mode) ?
Great info Mike. Thanks for the video. Quick question does the sock monkey repository include his reaper 7 theme adjuster. For whatever reason when I loaded it from the forum it isn’t working. Figured I would delete it and re-enter?. Thanks.
The theme adjuster for R7 is in the super secret portion of the forums we don't talk about. White tie isn't done working on it yet, but a prerelease is available
@@LetsTalkAboutReaper my bad, white tie, for some reason when I loaded into Reaper an error message popped up? Not sure why. And he thought it would greatly appreciated.
@MattyB3 If you didn't find it already there is a link in the video description... Discord is an online messaging/discussion/community social media system. You can create specific communities - kinda vaguely like forums might be if they were created now vs back in the 90s.
man, thank yall so much for this, I was spazzing after I updated to 7 and my mouse was all wonky , rockin shirt too lol
I’m sorry I did not mean to leave out Alejandro from Reaper tips as well. Thank you all for your amazing tutorials and information.
He's definitely good people 🤘🏿

@@RJATTRILL hey, thank YOU for the coffee!
Wow so useful, going to set this up today
Thanks Myk, I really like the way your Drums Editing method works, so I was waiting for this information to consider updating to v 7 🤓👍🏻
Wow. Legend. Thanks so much!
As always Myk thank you!! You, Kenny and Jon are amazing.
Hey Myk! Thanks for the ❤ for my script, version 2 is in the works and should be out sometime really, really soon now.
Hey, thank YOU!
The fast edit button you taught is the single most useful thing I've learned in the entirety of my life. Glad there's a way we can still use it. Xx
wish i could take credit for making that up, but i am always sure to credit Jon from REAPERblog for teaching me that
@@LetsTalkAboutReaper You can take credit for being a preacher of the good word and also being cool AF.
Thank you! 😊

Thank you, man!

One could do that but I tend to just leave them as they were for most of what I would be doing afterwards.
This software is overwhelming with its customizable interface. I feel like when I was learning excel.

Are you able to post a screenshot in the Discord community? I'd need to see the error message and get a bit more information to be of more assistance.
@@LetsTalkAboutReaper when you say discord community do you mean a website. Not sure but I will give it a try to send. Thanks.
