- The University of California, Los Angeles' pro-Palestine student encampment is being cleaned out after more than 200 protesters were arrested. NewsNation's Nancy Loo said law enforcement made very "methodical" moves to get the camp cleared after it had been up for a week.

UCLA needs to pay every dime of the cost of the police work to get that campus cleaned out. They let it get out of hand, they are negligent.

Not to mention all the threatening and terroristic speech, advocating for the destruction of Israel and the general hate they spewed.

So sad that all UCLA students (particularly Jewish & graduating students,) "not involved" in this protest- who have paid a lot of money and have studied for years to better their futures, are now dealing with this horrible distraction. Don't tell me their studies, health and grades aren't going to suffer! Everything is going to be affected in only a negative way because of these campus protests. The protestors are so proud about their roles in the world- but- Nobody will look back in history and see these protestors as s being heroes- not even the pro-Palestinians. How does the graffiti and damaged property help? Most of them really don't even know the facts about what they are chanting about. It's a terrible shame. WRONG CHOICE!!

PUHLEASE pull the I-20s and F1. Visas for any international students. And the domestics, pull any and all federal aid, and suspend them & put holds on all records.
Is it legal to spray cops like that? How are they allowed to do that?
Who pays for all that cleaning? Who pays for the hundreds of policemen involved in securing the area? If their parents can afford to pay $90,000 per year, then the answer should be obvious. But, I'd rather prefer that those same ID---5 should clean their own mess. They do it in Japan.

@@ziggylycans I dont know - I listened to a podcast today by a veteran of the OCCUPY WALLSTREET movement - he had been [at their request] advising the m on what works, what does not. Obviously, they did not give specifics, but ESCALATE every time they break up the protest. It has to get bigger and not smaller.

Protesting is an American tradition though! If I recall, the Jan6 Capitol Riots was considered protest by some and domestic terrorism by others. Are the plethora of Jewish folk protesting alongside the students also labeled "antisemitic"? I was given info by the Jewish Voice for Peace over 20 years ago on this very issue around the same time as the US "shock and awe" bombing/occupying Iraq/Afghanistan and what a timewarp for this to return 20 years later
