A tim tam slam is biting the opposite corners off (a small bite) and using it like a straw to suck a hot drink through it. The hot drink melts the bickie and then you shove the whole thing in your mouth. I love it with coffee but the Milo is also a solid choice. It's best if your hot drink is something with milk in it. Don't suck too hard. They are quite effective as a straw and you'll end up burning your mouth or choking on your drink. I'd recommend a warm drink for the kids and maybe a bite rather than the whole bickie because it can get a bit hectic. Good luck 👍
This had me laughing as I munched on my Vegemite toast for breakfast today! Definitely need lots of butter and freshly made toast to enjoy your Vegemite.😊
Oh my god these kids are adorable. I only just started following you guys but you really make me giggle. I'm commenting before I've reached the end of the vid so as an Aussie I really hope you go SPARINGLY with that vegemite. I guess I'll find out!
Vegemite definitely needs lots of butter to take the edge off. The only people who eat it out of the jar with a spoon are Americans doing taste tests on TH-cam XD. Love the kids' honest reactions to everything. I'm glad the Caramello Koalas got a thumbs up, they're my favourite. As for the books, Anh Do is a beloved celebrity here, he's written a bunch of book series for kids including Weir Do (funny family drama series), Hot Dog and Ninja Kid (funny action/adventure), Smarty Pup (comic), Pow Pow Pig, Wolf Girl, Sky Dragon, The Champ (sports)... he's also a stand-up comedian, motivational speaker, award winning painter, and TV host. No idea where he finds the time to do it all.
As an Aussie I don’t no how the rest of you live without Allen’s (a lolly company the makes red frogs, snakes alive and so many Aussie childhood memories
I broke a crown on a Minti and by the time I got to the dentist my tooth was infected. The dentist actually broke part of my jaw getting the tooth out. Subsequently I will never eat one again.
Let me just say, Tyler. You and your wife are doing an amazing job with those little rascals. They seem like amazing loving kids. And yes, I know they probably, just like every kid, have tantrums, fight each other, etc etc
Vegemite is a core memory, every Sunday morning we would get a fresh loaf of bread from the bakery (still warm), cut into thick slices at home, toasted under the grill/broiler with lashings of butter and a really light smear of vegemite. Yummo
Hello brother watching your video after a long time got busy due to school project nice to see you god bless you and your family Now I have to complete my school project 😅 wish me luck
Tim Tam slam is definitely the best with a hot drink to melt the inner chocolate. Bite each opposite corner though to make it more like a straw. My version is Galway Pipe Port from my Barrel! Definitely try Vegemite with a little spread on butter and toast. Thanks for showcasing Australian Treats! Always fun to include your kids. They are so well behaved. You should be proud of what you and your wife have achieved already with them. Cheers Mate! P.S. Oh and don't feel bad about not liking the crunchy. Not many people do here either! 😂 Cherry Ripe is my favourite! Especially the Double Dipped Dark Chocolate version.😉
Make sure the toast is still HOT when you put butter or margarine on, so it melts, then spread thinly some Vegemite so it melts into the butter as well. Nothing worse than watching Americans butter cold toast and then try and put vegemite ontop of it ... If you make the kids a cold Milo - TWO big scoops (don't go more than 4, they will feel sick afterwards lol), milk and stir it vigourously ... you will get an awesome chocolatey crust on top, don't try and mix it all in, give the kids a spoon and let them eat it ;) And I spotted the Aussie MRE spoon you used for vegemite ;) Minties are an 'old school' Aussie lolly going back a loooong time. Not as popular today as they used to be 40 years ago.
G'day, so here we go again, Please let the toast get cold butter, then a light spread of vegimite. For mature palets, cold toast, butter, Vegemite, and then layer with avocado slices,
Once you introduce the kids to Vegemite on toast, the next step is to introduce them to Vegemite old school lunch style. We didn't have cooked lunches like you do in the US, especially when I was at school in the 80s. As such, we had brought sandwiches from home. One classic I loved, and still have today, is a Vegemite sandwich, with sliced cheese, usually Kraft Singles. Sometimes mum would also add a leaf of iceberg lettuce.
Some people put a good teaspoon of Vegemite in homemade soups, stews, and casseroles. It is also good in gravy. Vegemite is an acquired taste for some. We love it on toast, or on sandwiches with cheese slices, also on sandwiches with what you call potato crisps but we call them potato chips in a foil packet. This is yummy with a cold chocolate milk. Children think so anyway. Nigella Lawson makes Vegemite spaghetti I believe. You will be thinking of that umami taste. Enjoy!
Tim tam slam - bite a tiny bit off diagonally opposite corners and suck your be erage through like a straw. Vegemite is best thinly scraped on buttered toast. Also great thinly scraped on buttered fresh crusty French style bread - but not the sweet bread you have in the US.
🤗When the Tim Tam was developed,👍it was named after a horse🐎 that won your Kentucky Derby.🐎Now here in Australia 🇦🇺 there are more flavours 💕than you can poke 💋a stick at.💕Vegemite can also be used 👍to flavour soups and gravy’s.🤗Just a teaspoon stirred👍 in will enhance the 💋flavour of your sauce.🫶Just a little dab,🙏will do yah!💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋
god, australia is crazy. and i know it because i am australian :sob: but im gonna tell you. you should really have it on some toast with butter, make a thin spread, i prefer a thicker spread and if your feeling like it add some cheese! really good stuff oh and yeah fairy bread is great (cant believe people call it sprinklebread)
Vegemite and Milo... they are the inverse of each other. With Vegemite, less is more. With Milo more is less, you definitely don't have enough, better add more just in case.
We have bounty bars in the uk, which are coconut inside. Timtams are a rip off version of a British penguin. They are the same except the chocolate which has something in the Australian one that stops it melting. The biscuit in both of them is a chocolate biscuit called a borbon after the vanilla in it.
Minties to start!! Break the kids teeth! Strange how Americans don’t like mint . It’s not cad berry! Cadbury is pronounced cadbree. Freddo Frog. He’s a frog. Cherry Ripe is hit and miss here. It’s a love or hate chocolate. Vegemite needs to be on white toast (that’s been buttered! ) shouldn’t need to mention buttering bread but hey Americans don’t for some reason?!!
Oh, please! Do it the right way. Toast, butter and vegemite. Delicious!!!😊

You can also do it with a cold glass of Milo

Oh man, I saw the end coming when you insisted in saving the vegemite for last. The kids were so no ready😂😂😂
Big teaching moment. Trust no one🤣

Loved the squeal. That must be the highest form of compliment in your house.
Minties, also very useful to extract kids loose teeth!
I broke a crown on a Minti and by the time I got to the dentist my tooth was infected. The dentist actually broke part of my jaw getting the tooth out. Subsequently I will never eat one again.
I only eat minties when they are soft and gooey
Tyler love what you are sharing with the world. Thank you for your service from one Aussie VET to you and yours.
Aussie here … whenever l am not feeling well l always have Vegemite on toast … it settles my tummy and makes me feel warm and fuzzy 😊😊
It was exciting to see they were more into the books than the candy
Let me just say, Tyler. You and your wife are doing an amazing job with those little rascals. They seem like amazing loving kids.

Appreciate it and yes you are absolutely right!

I only subscribed because your children are completely adorable!
That’s awesome but PLEASE word it differently
Thin, on toast and butter!!!!! Only true hardmen eat it from a spoon! (also, not the best way to introduce it to kids ;-) )
Gonna try this soon!
Hello brother watching your video after a long time got busy due to school project nice to see you god bless you and your family

Thanks brother, good luck with the project!
Vegemite with lashings of butter on white toast with a steaming hot cup of tea is the cure for absolutely anything 😂
The author of the book Hot Dog is a Vietnamese/Australian comedian called Ahn Do. The pronunciation is 'Arn Dough'.
Love Vegemite on toast 🙂 From Australia ❤ great videos

My favourite is toast with vegemite & cheese especially when the cheese is grilled or toast with vegemite & sliced tomatoes

Very cute!!
TIM-TAM was an American race horse.
A very good race horse!!
Vegemite on toast... Beautiful
I think you should add “Perfect” at the end and send it to that Perfect gal you imitate and challenge her!💖😆
Haha, love the wink to camera...

@@Butterworthdasyrup Oh yeah, cheese and vegemite sanga is where it's at!
I was about to comment why a Vegemite sandwich is never recommended? Same protocol as the toast; good coverage of butter & light on the Vegemite ✌🏼
How cruel making them try the Vegemite last without toast, let them try it with the toast, excellent video as usual. Keep up the good work
Fun game - You compete to make the longest unbroken mintie wrapper string/thread (?) by tearing the wrapper.
Kept us occupied while on a road trip
You do know that Bluey is a girl - cute kids 🩷🩵
I love my Vegemite on toast with almond butter. It adds a zing to it.
How can you not like a Crunchie 🤣

You’re thinking of Fantails

Violet crumble is better than a crunchie, the honeycomb is sweeter not as bitter.
OMG! Milo is the best! The kids would have loved that ...Shame it was right before bed
I remember 90’s where Milo was a lot more chunky, kind of like instant coffee.
Was a lot more fun to eat the powder then 😅
If yar can get your hands on, a must try Australian Chicken Salt apply to French fry's you'll never go back to regular salt again.
I need to go to World Market for some Tim Tams. Have to try the Tim Tam slam. I always bite the edges and dip them in milk.
The tam-tam slam is you bite opposite corners off then suck your hot coffee or tea through it.

as an aussie you bite the corners on the diagonal and use a hot drink ie the milo
Not “Do” but like Homer says “Doh”🦘🇦🇺
Shame you couldn’t get fantales, also have some one send you Bertie beetles 😊
That jar would last me a week haha
Do we have any new MRE videos coming soon? I miss those 😢
Your kids are stealing your channel, sergeant...are you aware of this? 🤪
Hahaha I’m here for it
Way cool Tyler.
Hang on, is this the guy that does the weird army vehicle shorts?
l love you 🤠😊😊😊😊👑
Should have sent them some musk lifesavers or musk sticks to really send them
It's G'day mate
You might have tried Cadbury before, but probably English Cadbury, which tastes nothing like Australian Cadbury...
Do it right. Hot buttered toast , small scrapping of Vegemite.on a spoon is so wrong
You should have tried the Cadbury's chocolate from 5-10 years ago. They recently changed the recipe to increase their profits. Not a good change.
I moved over from England. Aussie chocolate is good but not as good as England. Sorry but it always just goes soft, there is no snap to it.
Vegemite and Milo... they are the inverse of each other. With Vegemite, less is more. With Milo more is less, you definitely don't have enough, better add more just in case.
Where is foscato ... i miss him 😂❤
2 weeks later are your kids asleep yet from the chocolate? lol 😝
Margarine is better with Vegemite
Tim Tam slam isn’t that big of a thing. It’s become the be all end all lately. It used to be in a cup of tea, coffee is more recent
no sleep tonight

Grew up in uk, remember penguins. Taste like crap compared to tim tams. But I do prefer whisper over everything else 😊
Everythings cherryripe (alright)
It’s Australian so yes Vegemite is nasty.
Straya
Chrunchies are my fave chocy bar
Also marmite is better than vegimite 😂
Gonna have to track down some marmite!
@@Butterworthdasyrup don’t it’s just more of the same. Save your money.🦘🇦🇺
No not straight Vegemite 😢
vegemite = umami....!
RUSSIA PLEASE 🙏

Ooh you forgot to read the minty wrappers- it’s moments like these you need minties!
Yeah Aussie lollies aren't known to be great on the teeth 😂 do not refrigerate a redskin
With a last name like butterworth definitely sounds like u wanna be Aussie
another "straight vegemite" rage bait video.
Vegemite? Yuck!
Vegemite and Marmite: Get 6 gallons of soy sauce and boil it until it's reduced to a thick, sticky paste. You're welcome.
