Wait someone say food 😮 I wanna try some Jamaican food on visit! That’s awesome that you get the country feel still. It really seems like a nice are to live in. That’s a nice. Beginner house. Baby that house is gawdous!!!! 9400 square ft. Hunni that entertainment center is NICE!!! That’s a lot of house! Awesome share!

Grew up in Charles county in the 80s. It’s different now. I moved to central Virginia in 2008. Crime is bad everywhere. Weather is pretty good there but last night tornadoes did rip through Maryland. We did have a really bad tornado go through laplata that was pretty bad years ago. Overall, not a bad place to live. A bit pricey but many good doctors in the area and close by. I still have a lot of family that live in Charles county and refuse to leave. So no it’s not that bad. Job market is great as well.
Yes! I saw a video of the tornado 🌪️ going through Poolesville yesterday!
And lots of people are like your family (and me). I like it here and don’t see myself leaning anytime soon
I remember when I lived there, the schools were out for (dang can't remember the name of it) but we basically went to like the county fair and saw the 4-H club animals and vegetables and so on...lol...blew my mind.

Swamps all over, the basements can be a nightmare if built in the wrong area down in Waldorf 😢
Decades ago they didn’t even make homes with basements in Waldorf because of those issues. Almost everything was on slab. Not so much anymore.
And you can farm on your own land in Charles county. That’s another money maker.
Lies it is full of crime expensive to live in the schools suck you can research and find all this on-line. Dont let the big houses fool yeah. I lived there all my life and took my family and left in October 2023 for carolina. I raised my kids in wakefield one of the worst communities in waldorf. Was not like that when i was a kid but things change
