That argument the Christian man used about having lost nothing because he believes in his god, but what if the Hindu god is the real god, or one of the many other gods people believe in? He will be in the same predicament he says atheists are in. This woman was brilliant. I understand what her opinion was about religion, and the only thing she wanted was no to have any type of religion at schools, she never wanted to remove religion out of people and what she was concerned about is that we as parents have to teach our children what religion they should have but all this people only attacked her for her right of no be on any type of religion or something related to our God, as a Christian I understand her, why because Christians are being treated with hate and persecuted for hundreds of years just because we believe in God. I know that my children will have the right to choose who will they believe in but that does no mean that I will not try to help them to understand the word of God. She was not there to remove religion from the people but to make us understand that we have freedom of choosing the best for us. Don't hate her because she disagree with us but instead pray for her and that will show her thar we are really good Christians, not fanatics or we will be seen as hipocrits.

She took that last caller down like a savage. She used a protestant tactic, the 'sword drill', which every baptist school makes its students endure. She was better at it than the evangelicals. Im glad the caller's humiliation is preserved on 'The Interwebs' for as long as possible. The minister was way out of his depth, and all he could do is sit there and try to look nice, because the arguments from his own sacred text defy him blatantly. The bible thumpers celebrate a text and religious tradition that is anti-human and anti-life, despite proposing an attractive real estate destination as a reward for complicity with these horific pronouncements of hatred. Imagine how confused one must be to think eternity with an entity as capriciously terrifying as God will be cozy and even delightful. Within Christianity especially, (and perhaps Islam and other cults), an undercurrent of narcissism pushes people forward to their own end, into the arms of a God who recognizes how marvelous they are, and a God who will calm down and stop killing things and being crazy just because you, precious, are now residing in heaven. Also, Christians are comfortable with others' suffering in 'Hell' for eternity. It's a sick and vengeful way to live.

Wow, this is exceptionally well written! 👏 I completely agree! The Abrahamic god is a tyrant. It reminds me of a quote from Galadriel in the Lord of the Rings when Frodo tempts her with the one ring....
"All shall love me and despair"
The Abrahamic god expects you to love "him" and believe in him unconditionally, but if you commit apostasy, and stop loving him, then you will be punished.
It should give people pause before blindly believing in a cult of death.

She’s in a country where Christians are trying to turn the US into a theocracy. We must all fight to stop that immoral cult from frowning. Stop the insanity.

yes its always about how one interprets it. Could have been much plainer if he wanted to put across a message. Also to do it during a time of primitive sheep herders. Its just plain stupid that bible.

There are over 8 billion people on this planet. If each one read a line in the Bible they’d each have a different interpretation of what it meant. But that’s not surprising given that virtually all the writers of the Bible were anonymous Bronze Age and Iron Age goat herders.
There are countless contradictions and outright fabrications in the Bible. And then there’s the biblical god. The god described by the Bible is a serial mass murderer that loves genocide, slavery, torture, misogyny, rape, human sacrifices, infanticide, animal sacrifices, incest, swindling, deception, child rape, selling daughters into slavery and every other immoral act imaginable. That god even ordered his ‘chosen people’ to slaughter entire towns of men, women and children, but spare little girls so they could be enslaved and raped the rest of their lives.
The Bible is the most immoral book ever written. But most Christians never even read the Bible. Instead, they sit in pews and listen to someone behind a pulpit giving their interpretation of cherry picked lines. They don’t know anymore about what a line means than the other 8 billion people on earth. The Bible couldn’t possibly be the inspired word of any god. It’s too terribly written. It’s obvious the anonymous, primitive, barbaric writers were backward, ignorant, deluded and very superstitious.
How can anyone worship a ‘god’ that is the most immoral entity ever imagined? And how can christians worship a god without ANY evidence of its existence? Those people aren’t worshipping a real god. They have been indoctrinated into their faulty beliefs by their parents who in turn had their parents indoctrinate their children. It’s equivalent to mass hysteria.
Has any Christian read the entire Bible? I doubt it. If they did they would be repulsed if they were honest. But Christians can’t be honest and remain a christian. So they lie about what the Bible says. They all do.
Christians don’t even know how the Bible was constructed over a few thousand years by anonymous men. Republicans tried to overturn the 2020 election claiming ballots lost their ‘chain of custody’. It’s almost hilarious how those same republicans proclaim that they are Christian when there are ZERO chains of custody of anything written in the Bible. The fact that there is no evidence of anything in the Bible doesn’t bother them a bit. That’s dishonest. Think about that. There are NO chains of custody of anything in the Bible.
For about 75 years after Jesus supposedly died the biblical god’s word was put in the hands of illiterate storytellers. It was the equivalent of 75 years of playing the telephone game. If you are honest you would realize that each telling of a story gets embellished or key parts are removed. So why do people believe the Bible is the word of any god? Even when the Bible began being compiled and constructed it was anonymous men who wrote, rewrote, edited and reedited the Bible. There are more than 500,000 edits and changes in the Bible. There are hundreds of versions of the Bible. And dozens of books were left out of the Bible because they conflicted with the narrative early christians manufactured.
In psalms the biblical god promised to preserve ‘his word’. So what did that god do? He had writers use a language that god knew would die off. Not very bright of that ‘god’. Then he put his word in the hands of illiterate storytellers. If what that god thought was so important why didn’t it have people document all the events in the Bible real time.
There is no evidence that Jesus even existed. There are ZERO contemporary writings outside the Bible that even mentions Jesus. No other cultures ever mentioned him. You’d think that through Jesus’ life of him doing supposed miracles and drawing large crowds someone would have written down something so important, if it happened. But there is zero evidence of anything Jesus said or did. So why do people mindlessly believe in Jesus and the biblical god? It’s especially troublesome to believe in those two characters considering how immoral they were. I’ve already mentioned the psychopathic behavior of the biblical god. But Jesus was immoral too. He believed in slavery. He said “slaves obey your masters, even the cruel ones.” Only a sociopath would tell slaves to remain with cruel masters who beat them to the edge of death. The god of the Bible says a master can beat a slave to the edge of death but if the slave recovers within a few days there is zero punishment for the sadistic master. What kind of god would write a law stating that people could own other people and beat them to the edge of death? I’ll tell you. Only an immoral, sadistic god would.
And Jesus was no different. He believed in slavery. If Jesus was moral he would have told slaves to escape those sadistic masters and take all the other slaves with them. Jesus could have publicly condemned slavery but he never did.
Jesus also said his followers should hate their brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers if they didn’t believe in him. Then he told them to rid themselves of all their possessions and follow him. If a Jesus existed he was an apocalyptic itinerate rabbi like all the crackpot preachers who have said the world would soon end.
Jesus also told his followers he would return in their lifetimes. That was a lie. But every generation of Christians say the exact same thing about Jesus returning. A lot of christians actually pray for Armageddon so they can be beamed up into heaven in the so called rapture. That’s what makes Christianity so dangerous. A lot of christians crave the end of the world.
They are so deluded they will do anything to cause the end of the world. Right wing Christians want to turn the US into a theocracy. If they are successful all Christians will try to out-Christian each other to the point there will be daily public stonings at town squares all across the country. Don’t believe me? Look at the sick actions by republican christians. They are passing laws to strip people of their freedoms and rights to conform to their beliefs about what the Bible says. But since they don’t even read the Bible they don’t know that the Bible never mentions abortion. The Bible actually endorses the use of abortion like in Numbers 5. Republican christians also hate immigrants. Many have called for them to be shot, electrocuted and drowned. But there are several dozen lines in the Bible to accept and take immigrants into your homes and love them like family. Whoops, another instance where republicans fail to adhere to what the bible states.
In many other instances in the Bible the biblical god loves it when his chosen people use their swords to slice through the stomachs of pregnant women thereby ending the pregnancies and murdering the women. And of course that same god drowned to death millions of pregnant women during his global flood. Christians actually believe the earth was flooded by water 33,000 feet deep. But where did the water come from and where did it go?
A flood of that magnitude could never have happened. If Christians thought about it and were honest they’d realize Noah’s boat would have blown up while waiting for the water to rise due to the buildup of methane from all the animals on board. The methane couldn’t escape since there was no ventilation in that boat and there was only one small window. And even if the Ark managed to float at 33,000 feet above the ground as christians claim all the humans and animals on board would die from hypoxia. The air pressure at 33,000 feet is a third the pressure at ground level so every living creature would have died from lack of oxygen. And if the Ark was floating at 33,000 feet the air temperature at that altitude would be between minus 50 and minus 70 degrees Fahrenheit. So all the creatures would have frozen to death. Noah and his clan would have become human popsicles.
The flood story was obviously targeted to the gullible who believe in the nonsense in the Bible. Their eyes roll back into their heads and they start muttering la, la, la, la, la if they are told their beliefs are built on zero evidence. They love stories like the great flood story that reinforce their delusions.
Hopefully christians will someday break free from the religious chains that imprison them. But since indoctrination is such a powerful drug I know how hard it is for them to escape. It’s truly sad how christians indoctrinate innocent, impressionable children by telling them a sky daddy is watching them 24/7 and that sky daddy will send them to burn forever in a hell of fire. Parents who do this to their children are child abusers. They are committing child abuse of the worst kind. They are destroying their children’s lives by telling them their future is only in an afterlife. But the so-called heaven is more like a celestial North Korea where people will be forced to worship a psychopathic god for eternity. I wonder if Christians have thought about what living forever as a slave is really like. Obviously they don’t put a lot of thought in anything since they don’t even read about the horrors in the Bible. And they certainly don’t ask questions or try to seek truths based on evidence. They have turned their brains over to a cult that has a long history of abuse, lies, murder and oppression.
