A lot of good stuff!!👊🏻 Have to watch it a couple more times and write some stuff down. Nice finish at Sam Rayburn even though it's not your favorite place. Matt Becker is from around the area I from. Nice to see a PA Angler out there. Stay Safe & God Bless!!!
Thanks man, great video. Every "expert" says to fish points but I just can't do it. I never catch fish on points. I always feel like I am randomly casting with no intentions or game plan. Also, one of the great things about fishing is that feeling on every cast that at any moment you will get that bite. I do not have that feeling on points. Feels like a waste of time. I am going to keep trying to break down points to more exact locations so I am not just closing my eyes and casting with no hope of catching anything.
Matt, great content. I enjoy your insight and tips. To follow up on points you mentioned spawning bays. What do you look for in finding a good spawning bay.
My fishing buddies are a bit like bass. If there is some good structure, you might find one or two of them hanging out. If you find some good structure that also has plenty of forage, you will find lots of them! Thanks for the videos, Matt.
Relating it to seasonal behaviors were very helpful. But I couldn’t find the roadbed on the map. I need to recondition my dad’s fishing rod. It’s probably older than most of your viewers. I’ll be looking forward to the episode so many are asking for.
Steep points have been the ticket when the water is Cold and Hot, pre and post spawn. I will go looking for more road beds. Thanks for the information.
You hope this helpful hey Matt your information is fantastic bro I watch intuitive angleing and your channel the information both you and Randy give us is second to none ( awesome) and I think a guy like me who until last summer is the first time I ever fished on a big lake . All your other u tubers are alot better than me at fishing because they have the experience of fishing the big lakes so for me this is key information hey Mr Stefan God bless you and your family your pal fisherman Mike.
Hi Matt, Great video really enjoy your content ...I have a question on your rod repairing, I have had different rods with the tips breaking and or the ceramic rings coming out of them ... Where do you get your micro guides from I have searched a lot of internet sites but can't seem to find one with the right guides and the sizes that I am looking for ...Thanks
That Carolina rig tip is money by the way I literally fished with a guy one time that told me he's like why are we sitting up here on the bank casting out in the deep water I said because that's where the fish are and it's easier for me to control the anchor the boat here and he says so what's the point of owning a boat this is like fishing from the bank LOL we did catch him though!
Have you ever used any Bill Norman crankbaits best ones I like are the dd22 and the deep little end and bait fish colors either lavender shad Matt have you ever used any of these colors
Hello Matt, Thanks again for your great content! You mentioned repairing rods due to tips being broken off. Question: I’m sure that this will vary by rod, but at what point do you do away with a rod due to to much being broken off. Obviously, if it’s to much the rod’s action is effected. Can you give a general rule of thumb to use? Thanks
In the post spawn when people say bass are the deepest in their offshore locations, are you looking for a point that in on the main lake and rather far from their spawning areas or a point that is near the spawning areas? While productive points will change as the season goes, when are the main lake points that are the farthest from the spawning areas the most productive?
Matt great video I've got a question for you here where I live most of our lakes are lowland reservoirs and we don't have really long tapering points like a lot of the other man-made reservoirs do and all of our lowland reservoirs the majority of our points are rounded and they can be really broad and I found that they're difficult to fish they hold fish just like any other point does I know that but in situations where you have featureless points that are rounded and really don't have shelves and drop offs on them is there a different way to approach them from your traditional point? I've always fantastic from the front and from both sides and generally work across the point in different contours with The wind in my face but like I said we really don't have a lot of contours to fish. Thanks for all that you do
Good show ! I've noticed your rod bench in past videos. Your rolling a rod now till the dope fry's. Ever work blanks ? I love working on anything fishing. Lures, fly's, rod's and boat's.
Thanks Matt I appreciate you helping us to be better fisherman God bless 🙏
Thanks for watching
Thanks Matt
I was aware of points but not aware on how to break down a point for high percentage locations.👍🏼😊
Rori
Happy to help!
Thanks for taking the time to break that all down for us🎣
You bet!

stick with what you have confidence in
Using more maps/charts when discussing structure would be very helpful. Thanks for the tips.

Going to have to try and sit on the shallow end of the point and cast deeper. Have never done this and it makes sense.
Give it a try

Maybe one of these days you could do something about rod building and repairs
I will

i havent used those specific colors but i might have to put a TW order in for one now!

Generally it’s still good if it’s broken between the tip and first guide
Keep grinding at Big Sam 🔥
Thanks

I look for points outside of spawning area in Postspawn and main lake points in summer and winter
@@MattStefanFishing Thank you!!
Great video, Matt. How is it going on Rayburn?
Finished 45
@@MattStefanFishing good job, bud

With flat rounded points isolated cover is key and i usually cast parallel to the bank
@@MattStefanFishing thanks Matt!

A map demonstration would have helped
