I don't know if you saw this, but before the mv premiered you could actually see a trailer of this mv. If you clicked on the video before it premiered it showed a story of him and the green in the desert (ending of this video): they got up and were approaching a door but it was locked. Ian is narrating this story "It's locked. It's never locked" he says. Suddenly they see two pink creatures who tell them "You need the key!" and when Ian asks them "So which way?" They point all different directions. They do tell him he needs to go to Emerald City but that he has to disguise himself because 'He' (probably Mito) will be expecting them. They throw him the blonde wig that Ian wore during the "So I danced" mv (where he is mr. Insanity) and eventually he and The Green go to the van to drive to Emerald City because the two pink creatures start fighting each other before Ian can ask them who 'He'' is. At the end when they're in the van The Green says "I just hope that someday someone will love me". They drive off. That's what I still remember from that trailer. I watched it a few times and now I can't find it anymore, but I was so intrigued. Anyway, just wanted to share that with you. Maybe it will further help explain the story. I love you in depth analysis!! Pause all you want ;) Greetings from the Netherlands

The man has such a brilliant mind and is such an incredible storyteller. I am so glad he has been so courageous enough to give us these glimpses into his psyche. Also as always loved the reaction.

  • @enginerd1985

I've been watching these videos for a while, and I can't help but think the Green represents his intrusive thoughts, adding to the madness of insanity. I really caught this watching Insanity's reaction to the Green planning the heist in So I Danced. It was like, "Yea, that's good. I'm hungry."

  • @Strongvictory94

I'd pay money to see you interview Ian. It would be wonderful to watch.

  • @alyssalitwiller7885

I'm so excited that you noticed the hands of Mr. Insanity from the TV too!🤭🫰🏻🤍 Such a great reaction!

Sometimes i hate pausing a lot but when it comes to Ian i absolutley love how you try to figure out everything thats happening and spot all the details. This song is absolutely phenomenal and i cant wait for the album listen its truly an experience. I really recommend on your own just closing your eyes and listening thru the whole thing its like a cinematic audio experience. Christian is truly a genius one of a kind artist and if anyone has ever deserved a grammy it is him!!! I also am pretty positive that he watches your reaction :)

  • @haiko819

i remember ian talking about how he watched a lot of musicals as a kid... maybe we will get something like it one day? 👀👀

  • @nesrinenaaman1969

i love how in depth your reactions are and the fact that you’re always up to date with the story. don’t get me wrong i like it whenever people who don’t know much about ian react to his stuff and get to see his art but it’s absolutely my favorite thing ever to watch reactions of those who KNOW exactly what’s going on. BTW you should watch the trailer to don’t go insane!! everything made so much sense after watching it

  • @user-gf5ny7hr9n

If you can read this comment, I want to tell you that there is also a trailer video for Don't Go Insane, which explains what happened with So I Danced.

  • @midnightxgem6147

Honestly I would love to watch you interview him. I saw somewhere before that he apparently likes watching reactions to his videos. I wonder if he still has the time to do, but it would be nice if he could see this one.

  • @ladymidnight8136

I just wanted to say that he's used the werewolf metaphor for his experiences before, both irl and songs, most importantly in the song introducing us to Mr. Insanity, in that song on MIITO, he mentions "nightmares of werewolves" so you're probably right about this and the wolf howl in the song/mv...

  • @lindalee3867

I can't believe you have the same quill pen thing!! As a baby dreamer, I really look forward to your reactions to Dpr Ian and appreciate you breaking down every millisecond of the MVs b/c there's just too much to unpack w/o your insights. So now I realize the claws that stole the keys at the end of peanut butter and tears belong to Mr. Insanity but why does he have claws? Ian mentioned wolves have a significant relation to Mr. Insanity, is that the connection? Also, Idk if you feel the same way but I feel a little conflicted when listening to Ian's music. On the one hand, I enjoy his music and feel grateful such quality work even exists. However, each music video is a tiny glimpse into his suffering and, as a fellow human being, it's a little heartbreaking to see his torment. It sounds like he's constantly trying to find a balance between his creativity(which may "strengthen" Mito and Mr Insanity) and his medication, kind of like precariously walking a tightrope on a windy day. As beautifully genius as his work is, I don't think anybody would prefer Ian's work in exchange for Ian. I'm thinking Ian and his team have a plan though right?

  • @MusicL0v3rNerd

First, I don't know how I didnt know about DPR years ago and I want to thank you for introducing me to their music. I just love Christian and his creativity.

Your description "Are we getting a glimpse of what it's like to go from Ian to Insanity." is exactly what I was thinking too. It's like showing what it's like to have memory lapses when someone else fronts. Fronting is when another way to show who is in control of the body at the moment.

  • @pauletteleroy

I just adore you and your thoughtful ideas about DPR Ian! I appreciate you so much. Every time I see he has an MV out, I always come to you and watch you peel the layers. The green

had to watch this before i watched the interview, you really manifested this! so happy for you and also in love with how you dissect it all. i constantly get downloads on what things may mean, and hearing your take on it just further makes me question things HAHAHA. id comment what i think about it all but man this would become an essay and it’s 5am i can’t do this to myself (my younger sister just said “girl is writing a paragraph under a youtube video” LMAO)

  • @noemibernal4882

Not me re-watching this reaction after seeing that Ian contacted you in yesterday's livestream. How brilliant! I can't wait for the interview! Well-deserved and thank you for all you do 😃

  • @user-mi8xp4hv5n

Say Dpr Ian ~~~ unbelievably amazing art again. Thanks for the quickest reaction.
