It is actually crazy how this man doesn't miss in terms of music and music videos. I have legit not heard a single bad song out of him and all of his songs are unironically in my playlist.
And his MV's are just the best in the game atm.

I thought that the Don't go Insane Mv was what was through the door they unlocked at the end of So I Danced. So for the timeline, wouldn't that make the Don't go Insane Trailer come first and then So I Danced and then Don't go Insane?

Mito is trying to stop mr isanity because insanity wants to unblock Ian’s traumas and fears, he doesn’t have any limits he is insane, and mito because he represents the lows in Ian wants to stop that from happening, in previous mvs we would always see mito being wanted he is Wanted because he is blamed for all the bad things happening to Ian but infact he is trying to protect Ian from those things (these is one of the theory’s us dreamers thought about) because in peanut butter tears we see a hand in the end getting a key and that’s what insanity is searching the keys to open Ian’s mind and traumas along
Yuhhhh we in here. So yes that was definitely the desert from 1 shot! As the others have said definitely peep the teaser for dont go insane. I loooove your reactions and analysis. It seems that MITO and Mr. Insanity are fighting over Ian (puppy)’s mind. Ian has stated that MITO is his guardian. I feel the puppy is Ian since it’s wearing the same bowtie as younger him in Peanut Butter and Tears. I feel like Mr. Insanity and the green are rewriting Ian’s reality and causing mayhem (manic highs) .
I was waiting soooo much for this reaction. People are really missing out on him. His artistry is just insane and the amount of work he does in his project is out of this world. Definitely, he was by far the best thing I discovered in the past 3-4 years 💖

'So I Danced' has been on repeat in my playlist ever since it came out, and 'Don't Go Insane' is sooo beautiful! So many layers to it. I love DPR Ian's music so much, I agree more people should know about him. The effort end creativity is a top-notch
So from what I understood from his latest live Emerald city is in Ian's mind the guard of the city is Mito because Mito is the protector of Ian he comes out when Ian is in bad shape It's mostly because of a trigger (Because Ian also has DID which means : Dissociative identity disorder to make it fast he has multiple personalities) in the medical field Mito would be called a "Persecutor Alter" because he is the one who had to go through all the traumas Ian couldn't handle.. so Mito protects the city which is Ian's mind and he doesn't want Insanity (one of his other personality) to open the door because behind that door there would be all the traumas Mito kept for himself...
Ah........ A really heartbreaking background story.. 🥹 It's amazing that he expressed it so beautifully in his art.. I sincerely pray that he will be happy😌❤️🔥
don't go insane is the first time I have seen you so speechless that you didn'y even pause or rewind dskjfh I didn't know dpr ian till a few days ago when I watched this video and I have been in a trance of "WHO IS THIS GUY WHY IS HE SO COOL HOW COMPLEX IS HIS MIND WHY DOESN'T HE HAVE A GRAMY AND AN OSCAR ALREADY" thoughts lol (btw completely unrelated I really miss your a.c.e reactions and I hope you will react to some of their older stuff before they have a ot4 comeback next month

Glad to see you Caitlin reacting to DPR IAN again! I can't say I get all aspects of his artistic vision but god, I adore his work because there's no one else doing what he does. The whole album is again, just a mindblowing but cohesive piece of art!
The fact that Ian edits his mvs by himself and creates his own music is the reason why made me love him even more. So talented and attractive

The whole project was so beautiful. Loved all the songs. Can't wait to see them performed live. We watched the premiere and was like... OKAY DANCEBREAK. Storyline goes insane as usual 🎉

Ian is an amazingly talented kind hardworking motivating and candid artist these mvs and entire project is absolutely amazing and the amount of research and lore for this storyline is also so fun to unravel
Don't go insane is a prequel to So I Danced. If you watch the Don't go Insane teaser you see that after they end up at the dessert they see the door but it's locked. They the encounter two pink folk that tell them they need a key and need to go steal at in Emerald City. Insanity and the green man steal the van and disguise themselves to evade MITO.
Additionally, the red crocheted doll we see is also in the background of the video when they're planning to rob the bank. It's in a heart shaped cage. If you also peep his necklace during Don't Go Insane and his white striped suit, it's heart shaped and red. So it's potentially referring to MITO in his red version as we see in Ribbon. We know MITO is a creation of Insanity but MITO was casted out. So there's some message there but we don't know just what yet.
There are also theories that the Green man is Ian's conscious self. And he is somehow trying to explore and embrace Mr Insanity to understand him more. MITO is Ian's protector so in seeing that he is trying to explore more with Mr Insanity almost feels like a betrayal. Again, these are theories but we don't exactly know if that's right.
I discovered this album just yesterday and I am OBSESSED
.I swear this Is just my vibe. If I would describe the songs on the album I would describe them as epic, playful, viby and insane. It got instantly catapulted to being my second AOTY for this year. Thank god I discovered this😭

In one of his lives I think Ian said the album/ep he just released is a side storyline about another alter ego, Mr. Insanity and his "highs." Whereas the other albums are about the "lows" being MITO. The storyline is really interesting, I feel as though MITO is trying to protect Ian. DPR as a whole is just an amazing team and they are so, so creative. So proud of what they have accomplished and look forward to what is to come.
just listened to the album before this and i came to a realization. even though i'm not a musician, as a passionate music lover and appreciator, DPR are truly in their own realm of music. i feel like sonically, DPR is my musical soulmate. the vivid visualization they're able to evoke through a singular song is so beautiful to me. i said it before the EP came out and imma say it again, this project literally made me fucking ASCEND. christian needs to go into timeout for this one so i can recover

i think the storyline is in reverse order in terms of releases, this is the first in chronological order, then so i danced and then peanut butter and tears i think. Also i think this character is Mr insanity in the universe. ian is literally amazing, he’s so talented and i’m obsessed, loved ur reaction girl!!

You’re one of the few doing so and it’s such a shame that not many people (well, not enough) know his amazing work. I’m not sure we will ever get clear answers from him but I’m glad he let us have our own theories.

Hi! I think the order is (song welcome to the other side) peanut, butter & tears, (i think then goes the song famous last words) don't go insane, then the teaser of don't go insane, and at the end so i danced.
But to live the complete experience, I would watch the videos in that order, then listen to the album, and at the end I would try to make sense of it. But even with that I have thousands of questions.

I loved the songs, and the whole EP! I think you'll enjoy it too. Until watching your reaction I didn't catch on to Mr. Insanity actually dying and the scene where the pink people were holding pitchforks at him because he had just came back to life, hence him being pale and covered in dirt.. Also I don't fully understand the wolves either, but I do know he's confirmed that Mr. Insanity is a werewolf and ofc Mito is a Seraph.

DPR Ian has a new fan in me for sure. He doesn’t get the chart recognition he deserves. You see a lot of total crap on Billboard all the time but songs like this never chart which is just criminal. It totally reminds me of the same situation of an insanely talented charismatic top tier girl group. The music industry has always been big time sus like that and it will never change sadly.
