Thanks for sharing this video. I have three questions: 1- How did you program ignition 2 to be used for ACC2? 2- I have some concerns about lock/unlock. What wires should I connect for locking system? 3- Do you need to leave key inside ignition?
The programming instructions are in. The installation manual. This winter when I have more remote starters to install, I'll make a video on programming.
@@DCAutoEnhancement It's Kia Optima 2013. I managed ignition and central lock wiring. Just one question. How can I find Tach or Coil wire? I cannot find any manual for it. What is the wire color and where can I find it.

I have a 2013 Kia Optima that I am being told does not have an immobilizer. I'm a neophyte at the wiring adventure but like a challenge. Is there anything out there that might show me what wires on my 4105L need to be connected and where to connect them on the car? This video did a great job, but I'm assuming that I do not need the Flashlogic FLCAN but may have to connect a few more wires than this video demonstrated.
That is correct about the FLCAN. You can look up your wiring information at these sites Camandocaralarms.com Bulldogsecurity.com You will just need to look at the manual from the 4105 and match them with the appropriate wires for your vehicle. If you have anymore questions don't hesitate to ask.
@@DCAutoEnhancement Wow thanks for the quick reply. I'm still trying to figure out what I can throw out. It seems like I have no need for the satellite or bitwriter harness, and I'm not real sure what the D2D harness does or what it connects to. Do I need to hook up any of these? If the D2D is necessary, can you point me to what it is connected to on the car? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I'm attempting to install a remote starter (Avital 4105l) in my Kia Optima, 2013. I'm quite sure my car doesn't have an immobilizer. Maybe I don't need the FLCAN but, if I understood correctly, the FLCAN is needed not only for the immobilizer but also for simplify the wiring. By looking at the FLCAN manual I have noticed a bunch of wires on the left and rights side of the remote starter that should be connected to the FLCAN. Some of them are all orange dashed lines and the legend says they are not required in data mode (2 way). What is the difference between "not required in data mode (1 way)" and not required in data mode (2 way)? Do I need to connect these wires between the FLCAN and the Remote Starter or the Data Mode wire connection alone would be enough? Also, in another video of yours, I noticed that you are not connecting anything from the remote starter to the FLCAN, like the Ignition output and the Trunk status and the E-BRAKE (-) OUTPUT - GREEN. Should I connect them instead? Lastly, If I understood well, by connecting correctly the FLCAN and the Remote Starter, the only cables that should be connected to my car should be the ones present in the Heavy Gauge relay + the CANL and CANH. Am I right? Thank you very much in advance for your reply.
You are correct about the last part of your comment. Going back to the begining of your comment, if you are not using the flcan the only additional wires you would hook up are lock and unlock as well as trying release if applicable.
DC Auto Enhancement Hi, I have connected all the wires as shown in your video. More in details: FLCAN: 1. Connected to Avital 4105l via data harness for data mode; 2. Pink ignition cable connected to car’s pink ignition (together with remote start pink ignition); 3. Brown/red CANH to car’s red canh; 4. Brown/yet CANL to car’s blue canl; 5. My car doesn’t have an immobilizer, therefore I’m not connecting gray/red, green/red, whit/red and white/black with anything. I removed the harnesses. Avital 4105l: 1. Pink ignition to car’s pink ignition (together with FLCAN ignition); 2. Red 12V input (there are two of them - I just used one of the two) to the car green constant power; 3. Orange accessory to car’s orange accessory; 4. Pink/white second ignition to car’s blue accessory two; 5. Pink starter to car’s yellow starter; 6. White light flash output to car’s pink parking light wire (you have it tan in the video but mine is pink); 7. Brown brake wire to car’s green brake wire; 8. Black ground wire to a screw I found in the pop up left panel (between door and fuse box - didn’t find any other screw in the kick panel); 9. Black/white neutral safety switch: didn’t connect (I don’t know where it goes). 10. Antenna; 11. FLCAN via data harness; 12. Valet. At this point, after connecting the car’s battery, the Avital is unresponsive (no LED light whatsoever) and the FLCAN has a flashing red light in continuous loop). What am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance for your reply.
Sorry that it has taken me this long to respond. You need to hook up both large red wires. And the Black/White wire needs to go to ground. then you should be good to go.
DC Auto Enhancement Thank you for your reply. I have done what you said till now and I see improvements. Unfortunately I got in another issue, though: after I choose data mode while programming the FLCAN, the led flashes red 5 times. What would that mean and how should I fix it? Thanks
