I clean with WD40, sounds crazy but it seems to soften the tire and make it REALLY stick to the track... I know, weird, my mind was blown too after I tried it!!!
Homeracingworld Nah the stickiness of duct tape should completely eliminate all the other processes, a few passes on it & just bout any tire is ready for action...just watch on super soft sponge tires, the duct tape might actually "de-tire" the tire!!!
Like I said use what you like. Some duct tape leaves residue on the track because it is as sticky as you point out. Ends up sticking to the tire surface and transfers to the track. I'll stay with what I use.
Homeracingworld Ok suit yurself, I've done just bout anything you can think of in HO...the whole point is getting the car to stick like glue, I've seen yur scale = everything is sliding all over the track round the turns, thats not how to turn a record breaking lap
Here's alill more since this holds a special place in my heart = I've done it all, from lexan bodies to shimming magnets to installing "rare earth" magnets to completely custom built cars with "hot" armatures with altered pinion gears all in the quest to be the fastest at whatever track I was at, wasted many & lost few, on point...the memories are fond & they'll never be forgotton!!!

Very good information.
Simple and clear.
Thank you for sharing.
i love these cleaning stations.. I've gotta do this with my track
Great info - THANK YOU!
How did you setup the cleaning stations, how you wire it so it runs all the time with power.
You run power wires direct from the power supply.
@@Homeracingworld must be my power supply as my cars don't run that way.
@@Homeracingworld do I need analog track? Or because my power supply only puts out amps when drawn from.
Very cool setup ..
Can i wash the tires or will it get ruin
Do you sell those cleaning stations ? would love to pick up one thank you!
No sorry, I do not. easy to make though
Duct tape works much better, just sayin
Use what you feel works best. Just about any tape does the job.
