    Its been almost 3yrs but man Matt everytime I get behind the wheel it makes me just smile with the music on. Even with the music on and only factory PSE. The whine when I get above 4000RPM is spine tingling. Almost surreal combined with music. I was almost forced to trade this in for my next allocation by Porsche since they really want cars to sell due to shortages. But managed to finagle a dakar allotment without trading this badboy in. Thank you again matt, will definitely come back for my spyder and hopefully dakar!

      So there are 3 conversions this way instead of 1, all while the dac of the DSP is the last one constructing the signal.

      Matt Schaeffer I’m in NYC for now, hopefully moving to SC sometime next year. I’d like to buy a smallish SUV and put in an audiophile grade system with sub(s) up front and one maybe two amps controlling all the highs and lows. In other words a simple system that will play without fail, have little to no maintenance once installed and that sounds as good as my home system on wheels with a hint of custom touches. So with that said, and I know this is subjective, what small or mid size SUV do you have a preference for and or have done several times that you know you could do something like I asked? This is going to be a retirement gift to me and my wife and I am curious. And btw, a few years ago, my friend and I took the Cape May ferry into Lewes on our motorcycles, it was fantastic and the town is beautiful.

    Beautiful Install!! I just have one question - Did the owner not car about the adverse effect the weight of this install would have on the handling of the car?

    • @cabasadefogo9533
      @cabasadefogo9533 ปีที่แล้ว

      Late reply but I am the owner of the gt3. The weight hasn't made a difference in 0-60 since I am a tall, skinny, dude soaking wet at 170lb. On jersey tracks which are basically big oval, barely any time difference compared to my buddy's gt3 touring. I do think if I took this to a more complex track like pray to god (nurburgring) it would make a difference with all the twist and turns. I use the car on weekends for fun so no biggie to me since I don't live in europe yet. I am planning on adding a whole manifold to backbox and tips exhaust replacement with Kline Inconel. Which saves about 24 kilos (even the cats Kline make are inconel which are as light as titanium). Combined with the projected swap out of the factory spoiler with techart carbon fiber. It should basically balance out the weight gain from the subs and box. Hope that helps.

    • @MrFlashRoc

    I've heard a lot of shops forgoing the rears for the upgraded fronts. They even did it on my brother's $3k system in TX... I know this is well beyond $3,000... Personally not a fan. Like what would it be to put some slightly higher quality drivers than the factory rears... $200-$300? Other than that this is one of the highest quality systems I've seen. 10/10 with that being said might as well upgrade every aspect just to do the amazing work full justice. Definitely subbed. Great content!

    • @aracelyaguilar4844
      @aracelyaguilar4844 ปีที่แล้ว

      I love rear fill. Mid fill as well. To me the rears are important i cant believe some do totally without it.

    • @808teckie6
      @808teckie6 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      rear fill is not necessary in a well built system, especially if you are going for sound quality. A good, quality audiophile system should make you feel like you are sitting in front of a live band. Rear fill can ruin that effect, especially if done wrong, ie. Wrong crossover points,nplaying so loud that they pull the soundstage back, unwanted resonance and echoes, etc..basically its more trouble than its worth trying to incorporate rear fill into a build, when its really not necessary. If you are going for a live experience or competing that is.

    I find it freakin hilarious that all these system builders on TH-cam are using Birch Ply. Back in 92' I built my first home speaker cabinets out of 3/4" Birch Ply and just about everyone ether made fun of it or said it wouldn't sound good. Back then I got so much shit for it until I played music through them. Now I see so many people using it for enclosures. Since I made my cabinets so long ago and all the parties I had with those speakers playing the music, I wonder if someone took the idea and ran with it. I can think of 2 people that work in the industry and have been at a few of my parties. Sometimes I wonder if I was the first to use Birch and started the trend.

    Second Comment: when you said front stage as if you were at a concert. Well if you know about mixing down music or ever dabbled in it then you would notice that most albums recorded are from the drummers perspective. If it's a right hand drummer and the hi hats are on the left and the ride is on the right then the mix down was intended to be right in the thick of it and from the drummers perspective. If the hi hats are on the right and ride on the left, ether the drummer is playing left handed or it's mixed down from the perspective of the audience (I played drums for 20 years with a few different bands and recorded a few of our albums). In my car I have the fade set to 0 and Infinity 6"x 9" in the rear and Infinity 5 1/4" in the front door and a Infinity 12" sub. This is just my opinion and l like the music all around. I tried front stage and it sounded terrible, and I haven't been in a car that has that front stage set up sound good.
