The secret is using the curve editor in afterburner. You can achieve this with any miner by using a flat curve at the correct frequency. For 20 and 30 series cards try 1100 flat curve and watch what happens

It is work but that is the best way. I do it with all my cards. You have to do each one individually. Takes a while if you have a lot of cards. Not only lock MHz but also voltage. I always go 830 - 900mV lock around 1100 depending on where it falls after initially lowering the delta 300-500 depending on the card. (diff for RVN) I up the low end by holding CTRL and clicking on/ raising the furthest left slider up for RVN mining. Try that, while lowering power limit and you will get very good efficiency.

thank you so much for showing this. i got 2 cards, both watercooled in my rig, on gminer, my 3090 was in the mid 50's Celsius, the 2080 ti was mid 60's to high 60's, even hitting 70 on a hot day. this dropped my temps down to 42c & 46c respecitively & still rockin 155-159 mh/s! 3090 went from 349w down to 264w, 2080ti went from 214w down to 118w. what a difference!!! Exaclty. Everyone now hype the absolute core clock, but you could do this long before in afterburner, and also get almost full control over voltage. So, the absolute core clock in T-rex is no big deal. But in linux or hiveOS it is bit more useful.

You can use the commandline program nvidia-smi to lock the clocks too. "nvidia-smi -i 0 --lock-gpu-clocks=1010,1010". But you have to set a minclock speed and a maxclock speed, and the -i is to select a specific card if you have more than one. Its located in "C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI
vidia-smi.exe" for windows and /opt/bin/nvidia-smi, at least for me, on Linux.

For my 3070, I use NV Utility to set core clock at 720MHz, and use PM to set memclk at +1300, fan at 70%. Its mining at 62.187 MHz at between 115-118 Watts, temp at 55-57 degree celsius.
