You can do the assasination, but you wouldn't die unless you had your health down while making the jump or something, or just GOT LUCKY from a glitch! Too much hassle to wait around for. I attempted it on Nightfall many times but never got it. Eventually I decided to try on Pillar of Autumn where I got it after like 32 tries...! Awful achievement.
