The G19X didn’t lose the military trials testing, Glock wasn’t willing to drop the price per pistol to the insanely low price that Sig was willing to drop to. The military just picked the most cost effective option
@@lovelore and not to be an ass. But I own over 30 sigs between rifles and pistols. I love my Glock 19x as much as the next but sigs have my heart from the features for the price and the quality feel of them. I just dropped $500 on my 19x to make it feel somewhat close to my m18
Glock's submission also failed to meet the modularity requirement. In terms of reliability, both pistols were found to be roughly equivalent, so yes, price had something to do with it, but SIG's offering was closer across the board to what the army was looking for.
Pulled mine in and out of the holster thousands of times over the years and put thousands of rounds through it. Never had the paint messed up and the black residue is a part of cleaning the weapon system. Great gun
You are the 1st influencer that gave praise to the Glock trigger! Most will disagree but I'll be the first to tell you that I do just fine with the Glock trigger -while ive made changes to some of my Glocks, im still accurate with the factory trigger. The 19x is solid (New!). It makes a great addition to the collection. Thanks for sharing. just sub'd - 19x is the truth.

Throw a suppressor on it and it truly shines. The shorter slide makes a big difference with a suppressor on it. Runs smooth as butter, recoil is greatly reduced, and you won't miss front side serrations because you're not burning yourself on a hot can.
I have a similar o-light for my G19x. Mine doesn't have the green laser, just the light. I've had the gun for a few months and I enjoy it just like every other Glock I've ever owned.
I have the 19x and 45 mos. I love my 19x and shoot it more than my 45. Can’t go wrong either way. Definitely smart for sticking with the OEM 33 round mag and not the drum 👍

Just swap the backplates out & she's a beautiful work horse. Waiting on my Holosun HE407c x2 2moa green dot to arrive later today 🤟

Gen 5 triggers are better than Gen 4 triggers from the many videos I’ve seen. If you’re going to use any Glock for defense (home and carry) kept the triggers stock and only swap out the sights if you want better sights or a red dot. Dorr from Tactical Hyve said he put on the Glock performance trigger on a Gen 5 G19 and he said he liked the stock Gen 5 trigger better.

Good review, nice soothing background music also. To you question about black powder burns on the front of the frame and slide. Easily cleaned off with mild cleaners. I have used Mothers polish and it comes off with ease without ruining the finish.

@@OblivionDust2719 The lanyard loop comes out super easily. It's technically just a plug that is held in place with a plastic push pin. To remove it all you need to do is get something small enough to stick in the hole in the back of the grip and push that plastic piece in enough to pull the plug out.

I work 3 14hrs shifts nights, and in the two months I work I got assaulted twice and there were two shootings
A Glock 19 that doesn't take Glock 19 magazines? Nah... That ain't a Glock 19X, that's a Glock 17S. Short barrel. It doesn't take 19 mags, ain't a G19.
@@wilsontactical No, you spoke correctly except for mislabeling the 17 as a 19. A Glock 19 takes flush fitting 15rd mags, the G17 takes flush fitting 17 rd mags. A G19X takes G17 mags. It makes no sense, from a marketing standpoint. A G19X is just a G17 with a shorter barrel and slide, if you try to jam a stock Gen 5 G19 magazine into a G19X it just falls out.

There is just something about it … and you have to own one to appreciate it. I have a 17 … not the same. It’s my anchor pistol.
In California, that’s an off roster firearm. Meaning civilians can’t purchase it, you can get one on consignment. Which are usually close to $1000.
