07-13 Chevy silverado brake sensor clip removal/ explanation

while doing my brake switch swap out as seen on many videos on TH-cam I realized no one had really explained how to get that clip off and after having to fight with it myself I figured I was really time to add that explanation. hope this helps yall out

02:43 is not the "pain in the butt part"! A Waffle House waitress could figure out how to remove the clip.
Reinstalling the clip in a crowded and cramped steering column area (unlike this one shown) is the pain in the butt.

How can i take it out without taking out the screw?

You have to take the screw out its part of what's holding that clip in there

@@LTHURST yea figured that haha, now it's a whole mess of I don't exactly trust it stay on after I hurt it taking it off but I can't find it anywhere and it's expensive online. So I'm waiting til it falls off

Hey my head of the bolt snapped is the bolt necessary for it to work?

As I remember I didn't even use the bolt when I put it all back together so you should be OK not reusing it

I would test it out before a long drive or high-speed but as it's mainly for the break lights and the cruise control you should be ok
