These are the top four reasons why you should skip a trip to Bali. South East Asia is beautiful and has many wonderful places to explore. Sadly, Bali is no longer one of them.
Thanks for this video. Once again reinforces my desire to NEVER go to this hellhole. It's as if instagram influencers are like a reverse king Midas, everything they touch turns to shit. I'm happily staying in my remote gems in Vietnam and Thailand.
I try to give my unbiased opinion of places I visit - not some curated for Insta idealized version. I think if you can afford the very expensive luxury resorts and stay within the confines, you may have a different experience. However, is a luxury resort really representative of a place? I don't think so. The truth is that almost the entire economy is tourism and that shows. It has eroded what was left of the original culture - much like Venice or similar over-touristed spots.
you go to bali on the off season , stay out of the main tourist areas. Every one has their hand out for ruppea, i've been three times, had enough of being asked for money,
What time of year did you go? There weren't so many tourists when I was there, but definitely the local feel was gone and replaced by tourist-oriented commercialization.
I’ve heard the northeast side of the island is still pleasant. Alternatively I would consider one of the lesser traveled islands in Indonesia. I can also recommend Kerala in India. Kovalam has a couple very nice hotels and easy to get to.
Thanks for the insight. I was wondering what locals from other parts of Indonesia thought. I think I will need to visit some lesser-known places in the country!
@@girodichatterbox public transportation such big problem here except big cities such jakarta, bandung, semarang or surabaya. Other regions also depends so much with motorbikes. As a person who just trying to walk in Bali. Yeah you're right here's not walkable. Not relate to that: You can try visit Tana Toraja because someone recommend me. Maybe different vibe with Bali. Also I am from Sumatera island where Rafflessia Arnoldi sometimes blooming if we are lucky to see them, we've got a lot beaches too. And a lot of people come to surf in Pesisir Barat south part of Sumatera. Thank you for coming to Indonesia
I totally agree…..Bali lost its appeal. The worst holiday destination now 😔
It's really a bummer - such a naturally beautiful place.
Please don't come to bali.be responsible and go else were.bali is being destroyed

Go to Sumbawa. Is beautiful there. Still raw and untouch
Thanks for the recommendation!
Screw Bali 🤮, I've been to Java, Sulawesi and now Kalimantan! Amazing ❤️
Java and Sulawesi are on my list to visit!
I went last year and had a great time…hardly any tourists. It was awesome!

100% truth.
I booked to go in September. I’m rethinking now.

As Indonesian from another island, what you said was the ocean of truth
