I was so exited to see that you brought back Johnny 5. I would love to see you building a second one! Johnny 5 ist one of the big heroes of my childhood.
Always wanted to watch a full J5 build, from start to finish, as in the full process of building the robot! The closest thing I’ve seen was NYC CNC (or was it CNC NYC?)’s video series of their J5 build, alongside vids from other fans collaborating with them on different robot parts! But at some point (I’ll double check if I missed anything) they kinda stopped doing their typical videos of showing the process of designing, machining, unboxing etc. each part or collection of parts, and most of their build was done off screen, as the next time I saw them, J5 was almost finished! Again, I could have just missed a few videos or something so it’s most likely my fault for not keeping up with their vids. But regardless of all of that, I’m still excited to watch you bring your second J5 to life! __ __ O \ / O

no joke you should team up with openai, anthropic, nvidia or another frontier lab -- gosh, deepmind is almost around the corner! -- for a demo of what an embodied frontier model could look like. to spark peoples imagination. and make johnny five really come alive. it will happen, rather sooner than later. people will build their own johnny fives and imbue them with empathy and intelligence. wild times ahead. and i'm also shedding tears. thanks for reminding us of that wonderful vision for the future.
Warum ist dein Jonny 5 nur eine Replikation er sieht wie der echte aus, wie aus denn Film. Ja ich finde dich super nett wenn ich das so sagen darf, aber wo ist der echte aus denn Film denn gibt es woll nicht mehr das Wehr schade 😔😔😢😢
das waren mehrere, mit unterschiedlicher ausstattung / funktionalität. guck mal bei adam savage, der hat ende 2022 eins der wenigen verbliebenen echten modelle bei sich gehabt. ist aber eine enttäuschend primitive version im vergleich zu dem hier. was der im film konnte waren halt alles filmische tricks. der hier kann hingegen alles, was in den videos zu sehen ist.
