Im almost afraid to say but at school Johnny 5 was my nic-name. This robot and the film also inspired my TH-cam and musical artist personas :D Thank you so much for re-lighting my love of the original films and the robot. You have truly done an amazing job with extreme attention to detail. It must have been so difficult putting robotics into making something that works and looks just like, and I think better than, the film version. Well done! I'm gobsmacked, and your a local too! (I'm from Mansfield). I would love to see this in person so I will look out for him when he's out shopping for you!
I know he is a few years away from this but to have the AI ability to pick up a book, scan the pages and then tell you about the book would be so awesome. Malfunction need input !
Just a thought, but maybe build the battle-damaged "Rambo" version from the final battle in Short Circuit 2, or even the refurbished gold version. Even if you did simpler builds for them that weren't fully electronic and functional, they would still look cool on display.
Wonder if there would be any possibility to create a sequel of short circuit starring your metal boy? :) would be interesting story line if it came true.
