    Lost my best friend to liver failure at 24 from alcoholism, now I'm going to lose another friend at 32. Alcohol can destroy your body and life.

      Sorry for your loss. My best friend died at the age of 33 to liver cirrhosis 6 months ago. I will never look at alcohol the same now and I've been bitter about the drinking culture we have here in the US.

    • @Lioninthenight

      It does. I've known and read about people who drank excessively and lived well into their 90s, and 100s. I'm not suggesting that people should drink excessively. Many people do die from it. But genes do play a role in the outcome of whether you die from excessive drinking or not.

      @@Lioninthenight yep. I know a guy who drinks beer all day everyday and is in his 70s and looks fit. He probably goes through 6-8 pints of beer a day and sometimes plus wine or whiskey. Every single day for years and years. His liver probably is messed up but he hasn’t got cirrhosis. The doctor said some livers are like Ferraris and others are like fiats. Both can go at 100mph but the fiat is gonna give in a lot quicker.

      A liver can regrow to a normal size even after up to 90% of it has been removed

    • @user-zl3xs1cf8x
      @user-zl3xs1cf8x 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      His brother only needed to donate a part of his liver to his dying brother, and that piece of liver will eventually grow to full size and the donors liver will also become full size again over time. A miraculous organ if healthy. I'm faced with stage one compensated cirrhosis of the liver, not from alcohol, but fatty liver disease. They did not tell me 17 years ago that fatty liver would one day turn to cirrhosis. So many many Americans are walking around with fatty liver, and don't know it because for at least 10 years , they will have no symptoms and even slim people are being diagnosed with fatty liver, even teens ?? It makes us feel doomed. The industries hide sugar in everything, which is helping to lead to insulin resistance and fatty liver. Like we have a massive food war and biochemical war going on. Where do we get a lot of our food and Meds? ( China) The United States don't care either, they all believe in population control. Can't trust big pharma or any of them. Sad but true...

      @@user-zl3xs1cf8x We absolutely do have a war. We give kids sugar ,over the top amounts. And then diagnose them with ADHD or ADD and prescribe them meds that turn them into zombies. How messed up is that.
