  • Smallest hobby grade vintage style RC from NRC Projects: the K24 1/24th scale carbon and alloy vintage-style RC Buggy. Far from being just a toy, this creation represents an engineer's quest to shrink down the intricate details of a vintage 1/10th scale RC buggy into a 1/24th scale masterpiece. It's a true work of art, tailor-made for vintage RC enthusiasts everywhere.
In this video I build, install the ultra-small electronics and then take it to the track to see how it performs.

...or my $500+ Losi SNT! Holy crow, was that a waste of money. Losi/Horizon has absolutely atrocious (just about non-existent) parts/support. Therefore, I stay away from them now... It's a shame, too.

    Oh, gives me nostalgia feels.
I had two Kyosho 1/24 Mini buggies (from the 1990s), Still have one (the other one is more a spare part doner now).
This looks very similar but with better materials and modern electronics. But the design is realy familiar.
Sadly my cars didnt have the oil-shocks/springs, they where optional and to expensive when I was young. But everything else was kitted to max. (Dont remember the specs though). They were discontinued just some year after, so spare parts was hard to find (before internet took off).
I want one of these now.
    Cheers.

Well, it's a low production run, fully featured RC buggy using the same number of parts as a 1/10th buggy, metal oil shocks, carbon top deck and towers as well as bearings. Apart from raw materials, it's just the same as 1/10th if not a little more expensive to manufacture as your tolerances are way smaller. At the end of the day, it's personal choice what product gives you the most joy vs your own budget.

I think it’s slightly ironic that Losi gets so much hate for the Mini Jrx2 (though not the Mini B) but when some other mfg makes small enough replicas of vintage classics then everything is cool!
Maybe the problem wasn’t the 1:16th Jrx after all but rather the lack of a 1:10th one.

    • @RCKickschannel
      @RCKickschannel  16 วันที่ผ่านมา

The issue is the only choice is the Mini Jrx2 from Losi. I don't think anyone would mind the Mini if the 1/10th came out. The issue is it came out instead of the 1/10th Jrx2 so yes, I would agree with you.

Incredible amount of effort going into these, I have a fully built RC10 and a K24 waiting to be built. I see people complaining about the cost but I think it’s about right given this isn’t a mass produced car from a big manufacturer. Also given the low production volumes they are likely to retain a lot of their value. The way I look at a car like this is you pay say £250 then get to enjoy the build and ownership, then if you get bored of it and want to move it on you could get back about £200 so you’ve effectively only spent £50. For me the build is the most enjoyable part so several evenings worth of fun for £50 isn’t that bad at all.

You might be able to fine some cheaper options in the list that work just as well mind. One tip when building, make sure everything moves freely, especially the lower arms and top turnbuckles. Doing this really improved how it handled at the track.

Very nice, but ugh, you'll have US$600-700 into that thing by the time you're done. That's a lot of Costco hotdogs that's for sure.

SORRY but NO! Cars on tracks don't need to be smaller, might as well buy an XBox

If you have a small track you want a small car. This thing is awesome.

You can run it on a mini-z track if you wanted to. Different scales for different things. You know what I can't do with my 1/10 scales? Drive them in my house.

260$ is a ton of money for something no where near complete. I mean I would pay it for a 1/10 chassis, maybe, maybe, but for a 1/24, you fell off your rocker. All said and done you will have 500$ in it. No thx.

1/10th or 1/24 with the same number of parts as it a direct replica, so why would it be less? Making smaller scale requires a higher level of tolerance so more expensive from a manufacturing aspect as well as a low production number increases costs per unit. You could say it uses less material to a degree, but that aspect is an extremely small factor per unit as its a 1/10th to start with, not a 1/1 scale. Are you really saying, that because it's smaller it should just cost less? That it?
