I have one of these on order and have built the NRC-24 RC10 goldpan replica and that was quite a fun build. Glad to see they went with oil shocks on this one. My Goldpan is running the Hobbywing Mini28 6500kv sensored setup and it's a little missile. Also the motor looks scale to the 1/10 counterparts. I also converted the goldpan to Proline oil shocks, but at least I won't have to do that with this mini Ultima.
These are super cool buggies, seeing the rc10 one going round bingham was so funny. Im half tempted to get the rc10 one seeing as the goldpan had dropped 👍 looking forward to seeing how they go together Gav
Superb! Really like tiny rc, even better when it's high quality hobby grade such as this. Hope the micro radio gear is reliable for you, we've had some terrible experiences with micro rc radio gear for model aircraft (1/24 scale foam sheet WW1 biplanes)
This 1/24 scale buggy really reminds me of Tamiya Mini 4WD series! They have the Avante, Astute, Top Force, and a lot more shell bodies such as Big Bang Ghost, Astro Boomerang which are not available in 1/10 rc form. Then there’s the models from Dash Yonkuro TV series such as Emperor, Burning Sun, Dancing Doll etc damn i could go on and on and on with this since the Mini 4WD Tamiyas were very popular in this part of the world (Malaysia). In fact I grew up watching the Dash Yonkuro series in the late 90s. This NRC Project buggy is just a lot more detailed buggy with RC functionality. Quite impressed with the build quality so far. Looking forward to the build and running video of it!
OMG it's tiny (that's what she said 😂). It's an Ultima Pro clone at 1/24, it's crazy 😮 Still Kyosho did some 1/20 of their range around 1987 called Baja Bug with Ultima, Salute and Turbo Optima body; they were already difficult to work on, but now with modern stuff, it may be easier even if smaller. Little detail, about the BT01, while front motor, the Calibra V6's from german championship (ITC ex-DTM) were 4WD 😉.
You know what I'm going to say Gavin where is my elephant anyways I always wanted a losi micro good luck on painting that body that makes me feel happier because now you have to struggle put that little body now you know how it feels😊 lol the struggle is real 😅 u got me laughing All the way because I know it's going to be difficult okay so you should make your own body design what I would do that little string thing where you put a whole bunch of different lines on their into one center point and then you put different color lines so it looks all colorful but all of them reach the center of that point maybe in the middle of the car like by the roof I think it's an album cover hey there's so much going on in this video it's like wow look at those kyosho cars all together and see how he has all the team associated on the other side did you ever notice how I would never Gavin does something he mixes up the cars brilliant 🧐 I had to squint just to look at the prices do you ever get tired of RC you work on them so much it's like your second job now just so you have to put something together every week those two cars right there might take me almost a month
Looks neat. How are your eyes going to do putting it together? I put together a Metal Earth model of the Apollo Lunar Rover last year. At an assembled size of 9 x 4.5 x 5.8 cm some of the parts were so small. It was a bit of challenge for these 49 year old eyes.
Isnt that the DTM Opel Calibra body you got for the next build? Werent they (full scale) always AWD? Not that it matters, but if you wanted a body whose full scale car was FWD, considering that, I dont think thats it?
Yeah those little Losi RTRs all ended up being junk... What a shame too... Was super excited back when the Mini T 1.0 was introduced... In fact, I even bought the pro roller and loaded it up with nice stuff... Every time I used it, something broke. The plastic they make everything out of is SO cheap , it breaks just sitting. ..and you can't get parts because they replaced it with the 2.0 (which is just as much of a piece). Could've been something cool, but Horizon/Losi seems to care a lot more about money than anything else any more. Once Horizon took over, it made me really dislike Losi, as their products turned into mostly mass produced crap like traxxas
@@billymanilli I dunno, I had a brushless setup in my micro T and the only thing that went was the diff, but someone sold a modified metal gear set that held up well. Sure they don't look as well made as this kit, but given the cost and the size that thing took a beating and held together. the parts issue also isn't unique to Losi, associated is pretty awful with their older kits.
Gav, the road going Calibra was FWD and AWD, but the DTM version (as the body you purchased) was definitely only AWD. On the note of the actual topic of the video, buggy looks AMAZING!!
Yep I know the DTM were modified to 4WD but it's fitting as I'm not 100% sure yet, but I hope you can make this chassis dual motor AWD. I will know more when I build the chassis. I know you can do this mod on the FF01 chassis.
@@RCKickschannel yup. You can make a BT01 AWD. Several have done it and shared videos in Japan. But then again, at that point, why not use a TT0x? Back to FF bodies, Tamiya's Honda Civic Castrol (EG6) are usually easy to find in shops, and are a proper 257mm, if it helps!
Don't get me wrong it looks cool and would be perfect to run around in the house without destroying stuff but it's way too much money for me to justify for such a niche toy.
It has the same number of parts as a 1/10th Rc buggy but on a smaller scale, but machining the parts is harder as the tolerances are smaller. When you think about it, the price should be the same to a little more. The only thing less is the raw materials but turning that into a part is always way more expensive. I think that’s the challenge when building an RC on a small scale, people assume it should be way less. I’m not saying I don’t feel the same but when you think about it, you start to realise why it costs the same as a 1/10th. That said, what’s the benefit to making it a much smaller scale apart from the engineering challenge and the novelty. 🤔 I think this is why I’m not into the Kyosho Mini Z cars. The scale I like the most is 1/12th for detailed RC cars like the 959 or the Fantom CRC2 and the 1/8th of the UDR or Maxx Slash.
@@RCKickschannel You make several good points. I am surprised that you said you do not like the Kyosho mini Z cars. I have the Kyosho mini Z Jeep. It is very scale and is also expensive. However, everything is in the box. The buggy you are about to build also needs more parts to complete, which makes it even more expensive. I look forward to your building this one. Thank you
It has the same number of parts as a 1/10th but harder to manufacture as the smaller a part is, the more precise the part has to be manufactured. What you can end up with is a more expensive product the smaller the scale.
I'm looking forward to the build for this little buggy. Very cool kit.
Really really cool. Reminds me of TamTech. My cousin has the Ferrari Testarossa. I’d consider this! Thanks for sharing!
I build 1/72 modelkits when I am bored...NOW I WANT THAT ONE!!!
Awesome!!!

Can’t wait for the build and run video.
Super cool. It is a very nice looking kit with what look to be some really quality parts!

Never tried any of this smaller electronics so no clue how its going to go.
You should try the Orlandoo hunter trophy truck if you want a real building challenge.

This is so cool
Looks so much like the turbo ultima
ultima pro?
That is INSANE! I hope you have good eyesight Gavin.
Looking forward to this one!
I’m excited to see how it turns out. I might need to get one of these.
Keep up the good work, love the channel 👏

I have had some decals made in the 1/24th scale so it’s going to look like a 1/10th buggy but I’m not saying what it will be yet lol
That's amazing.
WOULD LOVE TO SEE TAMIYA DO THEY'RE CLASSIC LINE UP IN MINIATURE SCALE! I would buy every one of them.......
Pretty neat.
Now there just needs to be a racing league just for these things, similar to kyosho mini Z racing
Take my money.. Imagine a Tamiya and Kyosho series of these....
Kyosho already did back in 1987 they was 1/20 scale and the series was called baja bugs team bluegroove still makes bodies for them
Looks like a cool little buggy, hope it runs as good as it looks
Any plans for a 1/24 scale Optima (Mid)?

Mini Egress or Avante and I am in! 😃
Would fit right in with my collection of HPI micro rs4’s
LOVE IT
Wait you have it? What is this video about? Did you build it? Totally confused here

There was the Losi Micro-T
You could Upgrade it with oilshocks, BL-Motors, Aluminium Chassis, etc.
Dew want!
Hi gavin it looks a nice model but 1,24 is to small for me I stop at 1,12 scale

After building an orlandoo trophy truck that looks like a walk in the park
I wonder how many of these pulling in tandem it would take to pull a Raminator
LOL that would be fun if not a little expensive
OOh I spotted tiny E clips, the build should be fun 😉
boing...and it´s gone lol
Not only gone, but gone forever.
How did kyosho let this happen?
Don't get me wrong it looks cool and would be perfect to run around in the house without destroying stuff but it's way too much money for me to justify for such a niche toy.
What kv motor or turn
Looks like a micro Turbo Ultima!
Pro not turbo. Turbo had similar chassis to original uktima
Not turbo. Pro
First gen version of Ultima pro
it looks like a kyosho ultima
I was looking at this kit k24. Wow! It is expensive. You can buy a 1/10 scale kit for the same money. Thoughts?

Kyosho Triumph?
So how much was all that for us brits gav?
About the same budget as a 1/10th buggy of the same design level. Smaller scale isn’t cheaper for things like this.
Very cool! But $300 CAD??? Yikes.
Its a tiny Ultima Pro clone.
Mini Z has one.
That's what I'm talking about
@@Fly2kill1absolutely correct nobody beats kyosho on 1/24 minni z are way ahead of it's time
More like the Kyosho Triumph
Was just on their website they have a mini rc10 and you can even get a hold chassis for it
So tiny 😮
I wanted to buy one immediately but... out of stock!
Email them and see when the next batch is due or keep an eye out as I will be putting this one on RAFFALL when finished
Thought it was cool until I looked at the price.
Nope. That's too dam small. Cool as can be tho.
Awesome car, but WAYYY overpriced at $260.

$250?!!! Hard pass
