Spray soap and water on the body then place the decal on and slide it in place. squeegee out the water and let it dry over night... easy peasy. We do this on large full size race car decals pretty much every time because of the difficulty aligning the jointed sections.
I cannot believe how much your channel has grown and how professional it looks now. Very jealous of your collection (with my mere 40 cars) but very grateful for the pleasure your channel brings to so many RC fans. Many thanks Gavin!
Thank you, thats most kind of you to say.
RL Rc is fantastic for demonstrating what post race issues you may encounter with whatever he has on the bench. Great channel. Thanks for sharing the RC1- build experience Gav.
I think you did a cracking job Gav, doing the windows like you did looks great 👌 i hated the sticker on the back but as its a runner i wasnt to botherd 😂 cheers for the shout out, the stock set up will be a great starting point, and im leaving it as is untill i get to run it on the grass. See how it goes there and see what we can do 🤞
Sitting in the rain.....waitin to get my truck unloaded......enjoying a coffee and an episode of RC Kicks.....great video👍
I hope the rain stops and unloading goes quickly and to plan for you Paul
Great paint job. Your painting skills are awesome
Never mind the car, look how cool the tracks were back then!
Entered the raffle for this :). It's such a classic kit and I was obsessed with the gold shocks as a kid. Just something about it. Really cool.
Thanks for supporting the UK Grand Tour content and the show. Good luck, I hope your ticket is the lucky one.
Finding it difficult to cut open the Associated Electronics rc10 (Caution:) outer box tape. I may never see the inside. Waited since 1990 for another one of these.
Go for it! That or keep it NIB and grab the FanRC kit and run that?
Perfect , just in time to watch with a coffee at lunchtime . 👍
You have become my favorite rc channel. Great personality
That's extremely kind of you to say.
What beautiful track layouts
Good stuff Gav. I have entered the raffle for this one. I'm a bit surprised they didn't use the stealth gearbox on this one. And bloody Associated possibly wanting to sell direct? Didn't work for me when I wanted to buy one. At that time they weren't shipping to Aus.
Looking forward to seeing the Durga vid.
Thanks for your support, every penny is going into the UK Grand Tour! Good luck, I hope it's the winning one.
@@RCKickschannel Awww thanks. I hope you run in to Mark and Carl while you are out there travelling.
Very cool history lesson and some beautiful buggies there
Speaking of RC supplies in the UK, any idea what's going on with ARRMA? I'm still waiting to get a Mojave 4s! ☹☹
Nothing new to report
Those wing uprights look like coat hanger wire so at least it would be cheap to replace if you bend them, that's 40yr old engineering for you.
Great job and great video! Would love to win this 🤞🤞
Good luck!
Can you provide any details on the black edging tape you used? It looks like a great idea to help clean up lines around windows and other detail areas.

@@RCKickschannel Awesome, thanks!
The Shumacher Pro Cat classic was a challenge to assemble for me.
Yep, it's not an easy one.
I started to get a Schumacher but the srevicabiiity turned me off.
@@ksavage681nice looking kit though and yes parts are hard to come by.
Your B7 build is gonna need that new Leadfinger Body
You can't get them in the UK :(
Wicked video mate , you just get better👍👊 im still waiting on mine!!!! Grrrr
Thanks. I hope it turns up soon for you.
Tickets purchased. If it ends up in my hands I'm running the tires off.
I don't want a collectible shelf queen. I want the regular kit to build and RUN. Why don't AE get this?????
Fan RC would baw a better way to go for you currently
@@huubbouten3041Yes it’s a standard RC10 but being a 40th, it’s a little more collectible one could argue vs just finding a used RC10. That said, I would guess 90% of 40th RC10s will be NIB or shelf queens so how special, 🤷🏼♂️ Time will tell I guess.
Raffle open to USA residents? I can't find the info anywhere on the raffle site that mentions USA winners getting item shipped and/or who pays shipping etc?
Yep, comes with worldwide free shipping included in the ticket price
@@RCKickschannel Fantastic! Thank you for the quick response! Will be entering two of your raffles :)
Tried and failed to get one so far. Would love to know how many of the 40th came to the UK. Gold pan? Gold dust more like.
UK, EU and Australia had extremely limited numbers. I would guess the UK only got 100-250 units
I don't know what's going on with all the sales/distribution... BUT I do know, I BETTER get my 10T that I pre-ordered straight from AE within the next few weeks!! lol
Fingers crossed 🤞 If you are in the US I’m sure you will 👍🏻
the 2014 rere rc10 was way cheaper i think ot was 225 euro i have one nib
Did you factor in inflation? Todays price for the RC 10 is cheaper than in the 80's. $179 in 1986 is $502 today
@@indetrucks i bought a 2014 rerelease of the rc10 it was 225 euro ,hard to believe or hard to read
yust the same as the 40th anniversary
@@indetrucks i did not say anything about the 80,s one
Are these actually any good for a buggy?
A total racing icon from back in the day and still a good drive. Nothing like a modern but way better than you would think. Ultima JJ would be my call for one of the best vintage track cars that can still purchase as a kit today for OK money but if you want the best, well then you are looking at YZ10R and Predator territory.
@@RCKickschannel when I was aged 20. 33-34yrs ago I bought a chain driven 4wd samurai that was fast that I bought from model shop in debden Broadway in Essex for around £300 wished I kept it but as a youngster you buy and get rid of etc but know I'm back into rc bought my first rc car in 1986 the monster beetle so got a re realise 2015 to build and a blitzer beetle too still yet to build.
Next project, build a full size one!!

Yep so cool. Thats how we knew we would see a 40th Gold Pan. AR would never have gone to so much trouble for just the CC so it was really obvious we would see the Gold Pan again and we did! Just a shame so many fans in the EU, UK and Australia have not been able to purchase one and experience such an epic buggy.
Ask those, wo weren't able to get one.
I didn't have to, my inbox was full enough.
I think we should.be all boycotting team associated. Not all of us are lucky enough to get them. They shouldn't just be for the lucky ones we should all be able to enjoy them
If you want an RC10.....go for a FANRC they do a worlds reproduction and if you want a Metal pan pay JC racing a visit. You can get a full RC10 these days without going anywhere near AE
Those who really really really wanted one do have one now.
Those who thought about wanting one don't have one now.
Its with everything in live.
(no, i don't drive a Ferarri)
I would be much less angry if it was a original kit I was building rather than a overpriced modern rerun, cashing in on the name and year
Why are we angry ?
If you are in the US or Asia you wont be, it's just everywhere else that is. Video about this: th-cam.com/video/MT_0akXEp3k/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Dgs6Fmdik6xnlVmi
@@RCKickschannel USA didn't want this to be a collectible. We like to run our stuff. Sad.
Just face it Gavin it's a cheap Chinese Taiwan piece of crap that's why I never bought one of these cars because you had to go with the old antique ones because that's when the manufacturing was done precisely that sounds like something that's made for Americans but not in America
A lot of butt hurt people in the comments crying over price and availability… Early birds get the worms and it costs what it costs. Get over it! My 40th was an awesome build and I’m sure the 10T will be even better. If you can’t afford the stuff then you’re in the wrong hobby. Whah!
The price, yes you can debate value as each person's take on it is different. To some a Ferrari is exclusive hand crafted quality and thus value for money, while to others it's ridiculously overpriced for what you get when you can purchase 5 BMW cars for one Ferrari. The big issue I hear is availability in the US and Asia being relatively easy to obtain vs the extremely low numbers shipped to UK, EU or Australia. This then upsets Team Associated fans left out in the cold and for that reason, I do have sympathy.
@@RCKickschannel online orders and preorders aren’t exclusive to locale tho… Everyone everywhere with internet access has the same chance to secure an order. What happens on the retail side at local hobby shops where you are, I don’t know. I’d be more interested to know if orders were prioritized, proocessed and shipped to “Content Creators” such as yourself first over us “Normal Joes”. Seems like the kits were on YT before anyone else’s workbench… Now that would be something to complain about. Overall I think the marketing didn’t reach the proper people. I.e., those of us 45 and up who don’t have social media and don’t care to be on our phones 24/7. I also noticed a (2 per a customer) header next to the preorder button when I ordered the RC10T that was missing from the RC10 order page.
Great vid. I have one on the way. Had the original and about 30 since. I’ll be building and running mine! Not gonna retire off selling one in 15 years. Glad they made em
