I just can’t comprehend people who knowingly try hard when they know their teammate is hard cheating. As someone who is also in gold/plat who cares if you lose one game? Like what’s the worse that can happen? You drop from gold 3 to gold 4? One game is not worth enabling a cheater to climb higher.
Some people are just as pathetic as cheaters but are too scared to cheat and lose their accounts. But they still want that easy win so they play stupid or shamelessly don’t care so they can rise the ranks and feel a false sense of accomplishment over a video game that isn’t as popular as it was 5 years ago. It’s really sad
or, maybe, just maybe, Blizzard should have a team that investigates things like this and removes games with cheaters from peoples history that way they dont have to throw a game. Ban waves are the correct MASS ban method, yes. But there should be some sort of a manual ban system that’s done between the ban waves, so even if you can’t detect the software cheats you can ban people for having egregiously visual hacks like this. Hell, if the OW team really wanted to drum up content and engagement while cheaters are still happening, let the content creators in on the cheat detection. Make a whole gameshow about banning idiots that can’t get out of bronze without spin-botting. I’d kill to see an OW dev sit down every week and go through replays with Emongg and Flats to see who to instantly ban.
I think the reason more people noticed in the lower ranks is because hitting your shots makes you stand out a lot more in plat and below. A diamond widow is somewhat expected to get some decent clicks so it takes longer to realize, though I agree some of those were egregious. I think the submitter for the last one was the Juno on the other team and they weren’t getting killed quite as much.
2:47 I recorded a comp game like that back in ow1 "Teammate plays sad guitar while some guy deranks his bots." Enemy team was just bots moving around enough to not get kicked. The music in the background is legit a guy on hot mic playing guitar while we wait for the game to finish.

I'm fairly confident that the ego is mostly an act. Their real priority is to make people angry and acting like a cocky piece of shit is a really effective way to rile people up.
Put the cheaters into queue with other cheaters, increase their queue times, lower the damage, implement random "lag" spikes, mess up their sound so they think that their PC is broken, and then you can do the ban waves...
Im just gonna say what it is. It's embarrassing. Blizzard should be embarrassed. Not by the fact that people are cheating. They should be embarrassed by how blatant and prolific cheaters can be with no reprocussions. I get the war on cheaters is a game of cat and mouse. However, even a lazy cat will catch a mouse that fucks around as hard as these cheaters are. Their monetization model is shameless. But Blizzards' complacency in the face of cheaters is downright shameful.
Idk how games just don't have something hard coded in, to detect the spinning and even accuracy. You could just look at the average accuracy and if your accuracy is to high for to long (ie 3 games) then you get banned. Even headshots could be tracked, I imagine.
Some people like to spin just for fun and to show off their mouse, and cheaters can shoot a wall 50 times on purpose to lower accuracy. It's not quite that simple unfortunately
@@oscarblade90 spin-botting is for prolonged amounts of time though. If you have a guy who's spinning for like a second every now and again, thats a lot less time compared to another player consistently hitting headshots while constantly spinning their mouse for multiple minutes a game

i'm so fucking tired of hearing "does it pass the eye test" because blizzard does not employ a single person to actually review reports. It is entirely an automated system that operates on its own. Data requests take a minimum of 24 hours, and usually 72 hours in my experience.
This guy doesn't get banned for hacking through multiple ranks and dozens of games, but I get banned after being reported, like, twice for saying "fuck".
Fun fact, you CAN draw in clash as well as Flashpoint and KotH. After about 5.5-6.5 minutes of nobody capturing the objective, the game will simply just draw. Even if you win a round or cap a few points, it will still draw if nobody caps after that amount of time. The time varies depending on the map and whether anyone contests point
With the comment on how to draw Push maps, I swear I had this happen accidentally once where both teams got the checkpoint and no further, but it started permanent overtime until one team pushed a centimeter, rather than resulting in a draw.
Seriously, Blizzard needs to pull a Bungie or a Nintendo and just sue the companies making the cheats since it should be against their T.O.S. It will at least slow them down and put a little fear of there are consequences for these actions.
dude that costs money and takes even longer than the obvious solutions to the problem. they could just implement mechanics that the community can use to take care of cheaters like when the majority votes against them they get kicked out of the game, OR they will just not be able to shoot anymore and are perma hacked, making them completely useless. They could also put cheaters that got reported too often in a cheater only matchmaking, where noone else but cheaters will queue.
Flats, the report system does not work based on number of reports. It works as: # of games reported / games played (minimum of x games played) = # of incidents per game. When you break a threshold of games played whether its cheating, toxicity, spam, or throwing, THAT is when the account gets actioned
Had no idea the spin thing was a hack. I like to spin in excitement when i own with zarya, makes sense why people act weird towards me. Shame people like this exist.

Idk if this means anything on PC, but my buddy and I have grandfathered ow1 accounts on our Xbox accounts and the last week we've been getting messaged over and over again about "the value of our account" and how people want to buy it. So that could be how these bronze accounts are getting bought. Idk how that works on the PC though
I honestly feel for the guy that thought it was just maybe a smurf before realizing the guy was cheating, overwatch mid ranks like gold to diamond are infested with smurfs that will bully you if you accuse them of cheating. I've come across a bap that hit headshots only with my whole team accuse him just to be an annoying smurf, its really frustrating and a lot of people don't even bother accusing not to look stupid.
The Venn Diagram of people who are okay with cheaters on their team and people who throw out "Cheater" accusations every time they get outplayed is a damn circle.
The funny/interesting part is that every time i log in to OW2 i get 1-2 "thanks for reporting" notifications (logging in mabe 2-3 times per week). Must be that they are just understaffed with all these hackers since it became free to play.
My buddies had 7 cheaters 2 games in a row. 3 accounts had been banned previous game and the game before that, 4 accounts were banned. No names, accounts had been wiped. Pretty sad the amount of cheaters, but at least they were caught within 24hrs of being reported
these people get to play for months because they will spend money in the blizzard shop while if i complain and dont buy anything i get silenced and suspended for speaking up against cheaters in game. Don't give blizz any money and see how they treat you as a customer.

Spin-botting Sojourn is my new sleep paralysis demon. I'll just be laying in bed thinking about that SpongeBob line "He's just standing there... menacingly" while Sojourn drills a hole through my floor just by spinning.
The Hanzo t bagging was peak
I think ban waves make sense with bog standard aimbots. I think allowing spin-botting to roam free is a totally different animal.
Hinestly fuck it. Let them play the game, throw them in a cheaters queue, stop banning them entirely, and let them ego each other. They're gonna keep making new accounts, so why fucking bother banning them anymore.
all this accomplishes is spin botting not being an option on cheat programs, ban waves are used to catch the creators off guard, you do not want the creators of the cheats to know what catches them. If spin botting initially flags the account but you investigate it and find other indicators you can block more people
I'm always genuinely baffled at cheaters. I've played single player games with cheats before and it just sucks out all the fun for the most part, I can't imagine the appeal of doing this when the fun of Overwatch is improving your skill over time and hanging out with friends. Like it genuinely just seems like a waste of time to play like this when they could idk, be doing the dishes and accomplishing more.
cheating in single player games is actually fun in some single player games 6 star battle royale with pedestrian riot and have weapon cheats with all the best guns in gta san andreas is so wild
I remember I was bored in GTA San Andreas and I'd spawn the Hunter attack chopper and then give myself 6 star wanted level and then see how long I can fight off the jets and police choppers before dying
But it was a single player game and I wasn't ruining anyone's game
@@kobejones56 the best part of cheating in single player games is that if it is too hard for you and you would rather it be easier than learn to get better, you can just make it easier. Its kind of why I like celeste's assist mode. Its built in cheats to help you still have fun with the game. Do I personally use it? no, but at least it is there for the people who would want it.
they cheat because they want to be good at a game but they dont want to put in any time or effort. they just want to be good from the start
@@xd3athclawx554 I appreciate cheats that ease grindy sections of games or simplify things that are just time sinks. If it cuts a particularly expensive recipe in half or something? I'm fine with it. Cuts down crafting time? It's nice. It's why I love survival games with heavy customization options. I don't really care about how other people play, I wanna get the most out of my time, so 'cheating' is how I do it. I won't do it with multiplayer though, minus spawning stuff in to soft harass my friends when we played Stardew.
12:00 that kill on the hanzo was so comical to me
I just can’t comprehend people who knowingly try hard when they know their teammate is hard cheating.
I don't even try to draw, I try my best to fucking lose if I got a cheater on my team lmao, the opponent isn't the enemy team anymore it's the cheater
Everyone should just immediately go mei and lifeweaver and constantly block him and pull the cheaters away
or, maybe, just maybe, Blizzard should have a team that investigates things like this and removes games with cheaters from peoples history that way they dont have to throw a game. Stop acting like just because someone has a cheater on their team they should lose... no, Blizzard should be taking action against them.
@@Dirtbaghealer or just try to draw and if its not possible why should you tryhard and help the cheater to win the game? Why are people so scared to lose in a Video Game 💀? Sure, blizzard should take care of this problem - its hilarious that people like this guy are still out there what means the anti-cheat is a joke. But as a community we should stay together and fight this cheaters who are trying to ruin the game for us. Would you like it when there is a cheater in the enemy team and they are tryharding and help the cheater to win?
we live in a time where people get banned for toxicity in a day or two yet cheaters are more tolerated
Yeah like you can do a g**ocide against a people and nothing happens. Yet if you call them naz*s you get arrested.
Even just a simple "Damn, you shoulda touched point" can get you banned, but not spinbotting!
Just to give this guy the benefit of the doubt, some people do practice a very advanced aiming technique where you use a belt sander as your mousepad.
Whats funny is that you can get banned faster for talking shit or being "toxic" faster than you can using cheats
There isn’t a bigger letdown than Overwatch’s report system. It’s so fucking infuriating when I run into 4 cheaters in the same day, report all of them and NONE of them get banned. Yet the moment I get into even a minor argument or obvious banter with my teammates or the enemies, I immediately get slapped with a comms silence, which later evolved into a fucking suspension because I said,”never play support again, I will personally uninstall the game for you” to a support duo who spoke shit to my duo for underperforming on DPS despite

3:20 What even the point of ulting bro. Your cheat performs better 😭
2:47 I recorded a comp game like that back in ow1 "Teammate plays sad guitar while some guy deranks his bots." Enemy team was just bots moving around enough to not get kicked. The music in the background is legit a guy on hot mic playing guitar while we wait for the game to finish.

That gold player should just admit they wanted the win.
I love how one reference to Kurt Cobain will get ya silenced but spinning at mach fuck for 5 minutes straight is reasonable.
But Blizzards' complacency in the face of cheaters is downright shameful.
what OW2 needs is a vote to draw option where u need to have atleast 8 votes from the teams to auto end the match with a draw

5:30 tbh getting people to do literally any play together in low metal ranks is literally impossible, let alone making everyone stop pushing after first point to draw a push game. Gold players are more determined to flame their teammates and pick their noses whilst playing. Not saying that you shouldn’t draw games like these, but it’s wayyy easier in GM/top 500 lobbies

10:27 the fact that they waited to spin bot until the checkpoint was capped. I think that was an intentional move by them.
i'm so fucking tired of hearing "does it pass the eye test" because blizzard does not employ a single person to actually review reports. It is entirely an automated system that operates on its own. Data requests take a minimum of 24 hours, and usually 72 hours in my experience.
Except this guy has been out here for months supposedly at this point and is still not banned.
I genuinely don’t understand how this can be fun for them.
Imagine not being able to do anything in life, maybe you can't even read good. This would make you feel good for a bit.
These are the mfs saying “bring toxicity back to Overwatch”.
With the comment on how to draw Push maps, I swear I had this happen accidentally once where both teams got the checkpoint and no further, but it started permanent overtime until one team pushed a centimeter, rather than resulting in a draw.
when flats speed up when he was talking about moving up the ranks cought me off gaurd omg i cant stop laughing
@@DesgarothA long term solution to a long term problem obviously is going to take more time and money, yes.
Flats, the report system does not work based on number of reports. It works as:
# of games reported / games played (minimum of x games played) = # of incidents per game. When you break a threshold of games played whether its cheating, toxicity, spam, or throwing, THAT is when the account gets actioned

That tracer gameplay was just like watching sugar free or any other pro tracer player but without the hacks 😂
I love this series. Keep it up, broski!
By definition, hacking in a game could be considered Corporate Sabotage.
Its absolutely a crime to cheat in a tournament with a cash prize
The Venn Diagram of people who are okay with cheaters on their team and people who throw out "Cheater" accusations every time they get outplayed is a damn circle.
the fact the indie company is not able to find those hackers is amazing!
Damn Overwatch really is the new Team Fortress 2
It's the same over in R6 Siege right now with cheaters, I flat out don't play on PC anymore because of this stuff.
lore accurate soldier, tracer & widowmaker
i hate cheaters but seeing a hanzo/genji lose makes me happy call me a psycho
Don't give blizz any money and see how they treat you as a customer.
btw if you didnt know that, only one report per game actually counts. thats why the autoban bot system takes so long.
so there are no 9 reports for one game
"oh everyone else kept playing so i did too" = "i wanted the easy win instead of doing the right thing"
I got motion sickness from watching this thing spin in 3rd person. IDK how someone can PLAY like that, like physically.

I hate how people forget that Sigma's, Reinhardt's, and Ramattra's shields can block aimbot heatshots from melting their team before they can retaliate.
I once watched a whole team lose to a single babtiste when all their tank had to do was swap Rein and throw up a shield to stop his instant support kills.
They should have a system in place that looks at headshot percentages. If it's over a threshold, you'd think it gets flagged to look at 😂
