When visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando, you can purchase an interactive wand to cast spells in Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley!

Yes I know how you feel! They do have the option to do this at Ollivanders, but the person is randomly chosen so you have to get lucky to be picked!

It's addicting. Last summer for myself, my. Husband and our 4 kids it was a small fortune. A few weeks ago I got a park exclusive wand at hogsmeade which wasn't too bad. My tip is to look online for prices and designs so you know exactly how much to budget and which one you want to get. Saves time for casting those spells!! 😊

I went to Harry Potter World in April 2024. The only souvenirs I brought home were a set of wizard coins, some pressed pennies in a Harry Potter album, and a Gryffindor lanyard to wear at work. I get some great reactions to it.

When you wait in line to do the experience and you're not chosen😢. My family went to Universal in california, and we waited for almost 1hr just to watch someone else have the experience. Needless to say, we were disappointed. If we had known we weren't going to be picked, we would have skipped the line and went directly to the shop. My daughter did have a great time finding all the stuff that was on the map, though.
So glad she enjoyed using the wand and I know what you mean, I wish they had a special line for those who want picked to have that experience! It’s a great experience a lot of guests want to do!
@@kourtneylehman410 yeah the Olivander wand experience was by far the lamest thing we did that day. Out of all the things we did that day, this has the longest wait time, and it was not even close to worth it. You watch some other person get chosen. They do a bunch of cheap tricks like make flowers die, and rearrange some boxes. The lady who did our show spoke half of the presentation in spanish because two people out of the whole group were Hispanic. Nevermind they already spoke English, but I guess she wanted to show off? I dunno... and then they kick you out hoping you'll get ripped off and buy a freaking $60 wand... Our whole family was like, "what the crap was that???"
my mom got 3 for me and my sisters without realizing they were the $60 interactive ones

I got one as a birthday gift from my mom and dad for my seventh birthday (best day of my life) I'm now pretty well versed in all the spells at the park if I do say so myself (I'm fourteen now😋)

Haha I love this Guy and totally agree with you! I think if I lived near the park again, I may get a wand but who knows! We may end up with one on our next trip to check out all of the wand spots 😂

60 bucks is such a freaking rip off. You already spend a ton to get into the park and how do they show you their gratitude? They try to squeeze even more money out of you... It's gross...
