I did 2 tours, My first in Iraq, and the other in Afghanistan. Before, my father who was a Vietnam Vet never really talked about what he went through over there, that is until I came home from my first tour. It's funny how war can bring a father and son closer together. He was a classic rock kinda guy but I got him into A7X. He loved this song especially. He passed away, and now I'm having a beer, blasting this, and remembering him. Semper Fi

If your a true Avenged or Metallica fan you'll know that Metallica was a big inspiration on Avenged, and you'll also know that they are all really good friends. They do alot of touring together. When Metallica did a tour in 2018 with Avenged and Volbeat they specifically asked Avenged to do the tour with them.

One of my favorites bands of all times. They Rock. This band really pumps me up..
Look at this. Just look at it. This is why Avenged Sevenfold & heavy metal fans are the best fans in the world! You'll never see pop stars or rappers playing to crowds this large with so many ferociously passionate fans. This type of dynamic between a band and it's fans is unique to rock/metal, and it goes beyond the typical relationship modern performers have with their listeners. Ours is a cathartic, borderline religious endeavor we get to experience with our genre. It's as if this is our Mecca, and we must all make a pilgrimage to it at least once in our lifetimes in order to consummate our devotion to the artform.
The masses go to Kanye West or Katy Perry concerts to simply be entertained for the evening. Not metal fans. Not A7X fans. No, we go to an Avenged show to bare our souls and bask in the sonic euphoria that can only come when a rock band & it's fans give it everything they've got by pouring every fiber of their being out onto the stages, floors, and balconies of arenas every night all around the world.
There's simply nothing else like hard rock & metal in music. Rock/Metal music will always have an inherent intangible quality to give it an edge over all the other music genres. That intangible quality being bands who create all of their own music themselves, and imbue their music with high levels of emotion and soulfulness at every step along the way. These guys have to translate through their instruments the stream of consciousness sounds only they can hear in their heads when creating new music. No hired studio musicians to play it for them first. No lyrics being purchased from songwriters. No high tech studio wizardry like sampling, computers, or sound effects being mixed together to manufacture the next killer bass line that the industry can market to adverisers and cash in on.
No, rock & metal music is the best music because it's the only genre where a bunch of otherwise ordinary people, when taken as singular individuals, can come together to create something remarkably extraordinary as a combined group. Even better is the fact that this is only achieved through relentless practice, patience, hard work, and sheer determination.
Pop and rap can win the popularity contest for all we care. Because us rock & metal fans will always have the edge over those audiences because only we get to experience the unique emotional and spiritual fulfillment that only rock & metal music offers to it's audiences.

They made songs to sound like bands they grew up liking. If you jack asses knew anything about Avenged you would know this. Metallica actually likes the song and they are friends with Avenged Sevenfold. Avenged Sevenfold has even said that these songs were done for bands that were their inspiration. Nobody copied anyone. Through out the history of rock every band has done songs that sound similar to others. You can't copy right a riff, if so there would be no music. every song takes something from other music. I grew up on Metallica, the good kick ass Metallica and ill take Avenged over them any day music wise and personal. They are down to earth. They lost a member and still 10 years later his voice echos through their concerts. They never forget and the fans dont either. Thats a true band that dont let their member get forgotten. foREVer.
