First, I don't think that Richard Chamberlain has been honored as he should be, I haven't seen him honored with a Life Time Achievement in the Arts (if he has I don't know), and he should be honored with at least the Kennedy Honors Award, he qualifies, can his fan club or someone who knows how to get him on that list, PLEASE do it before it is too late. Second, when the Thorn Birds first came out I was 15 years old, I watched every second of it. I had (and still do) a big crush on Richard Chamberlain for years before that, and though I wasn't big on reading books I bought the paper back and read it 5 times straight though, I had to because it was the only way I could see, at least in my mind, I could see the the characters over again (my family didn't own a VHS player and I don't know if there were affordable players and VHS tapes yet) and every time I got to the end of the story my eyes would water and my heart would ache for them, such a connection of two souls and love.
One of the most beautiful and sad love story i've never seen...Ralph was right, Ralph was wrong, we'll never know...Was his choice the good one? I think surely not, but he paid a lot for this, and the everlasting love Maggy Gave him till the end proves it..Heartbreaking 😢😢

La scena della leggenda per me è molto bella ed emozionante. L’attore protagonista disse che tribolò due giorni per la recitazione, mettendo in “”tilt””produttore e regista😂,poi trovò la sua interpretazione; però a distanza di molto tempo affermò che avrebbe fatto diversamente. ( Non so come). Rimane per me in questa leggenda tutto il contenuto della vita dei protagonisti e dei personaggi. Da qui si dipana un filo intricato di sentimenti, di azioni rivolte a coinvolgere, condividere, mettere in discussione o approvare un genere di vita particolare compresa l’appartenenza a diversa religione. Sta di fatto che quando il soggetto principale è l’amore, viene dimenticata la “”critica””e domina “”l’approvazione””.❤
So sad Richard Chamberlain passed away a few months ago I am shocked and saddened glad I got to meet him a few times over the many yrs after Broadway Plays in NYC ty 4 the autographs Richard I cherish them and our brief chats RIP
