Filmul este copleșitor de trist și din acest motiv nu mi-a plăcut la adevărata valoare, care este sus, mari actori.
Am citit cartea ,, Pasărea spin" și este uluitoare. Acțiunea se întinde pe un timp de cel puțin două generații, cu personaje complexe sau simple ca trăiri și bineînțeles în centru Megie și dragostea ei pentru Ralf. O dragoste care a fost ca și spinul în care pasărea își înfige pieptul în timp ce cântă, cum spune legenda.

My eyes filled up with tears that overflowed and a heartache to go with it, as I watched some of the most memorable and touching scenes from the movie Thornbirds. Over the years some scenes have stayed with me. I never forgot them, the passion, the love, the pain, I like very much the music together with these scenes. It goes very well together.

I read the book while traveling through NSW in the early 1980’s, years before the TV series. I was totally immersed in the book. I could appreciate the scope and extent of the landscape while traveling through it. The book was so beautiful and brilliant.

Thorn Birds is one of the greatest , if not the greatest literary work of all time. The book , the TV series, and finally the movie so vividly depicted all the universal human emotions in its rawness, whether you are a lay person or a man of the cloth. Wish there were more works of this kind. Richard Chamberlain was in his most winning form. Rest in peace, dear Richard. I fell in love with you in that movie .
As far as I can find, he's still alive. I looked on IMDB and Wiki.

@@lilgeld5025 Фильм "ПОЮЩИЕ В ТЕРНОВНИКЕ". (1981г). Поставлен по книге с таким же названием. Фильм очень !!! Многие считают, что книга лучше. Мое мнение - это тот редкий случай, когда и книга, и фильм прекрасны. В фильме не только любовная тема, там много сюжетных линий, есть над чем подумать.
