Akrapovic slip-on exhaust sound test / comparison and how to install on Kawasaki versys-X 300

In this video I show you how I've installed the Akrapovic slip-on exhaust / muffler on my Kawasaki Versys-X 300 motorcycle. I also compared the stock exhaust sound of the Kawasaki with the new installed Akrapovic exhaust with DB-killer and you'll hear the sound while I'm driving!
It's all filmed with the Gopro Hero 9 in 4K high quality.

The sound difference is a lot more subtle than I expected, but quite good compared to the stock muffler. Thanks for sharing!
Your welcome! Yes that's true. For the best result I think the DB-killer should come out.
@@tourrificbikeadventure Yeah, I've been avoiding replacing the stock pipes on the Versys 300 & Versys 650 because I don't want to go as loud as most others do, but still something worth exploring at a later stage for sure... the 650 is not quite as off road capable as the 300 though :)
Well I had the same engine on my ninja 300 with an akrapovic... it sounded very good.. however the best thing was the pop and bangs that it did... (the catalytic converter was removed) a friend of mine has a 400 with a tune and a full spark exhaust... it spit flames bigger than the one from all the 1000 on the paddock... it was so fun to see...

Thanks! Yes in my order that carbon heat shield was included. But I searched on Google for you and I see that some shops include it and some not. Good to ask for it or make sure the shop has the heat shield mentioned in the description. Buying it seperately is quite expensive. Good luck! 😄

hola, quisiera saber si el sonido en altas revoluciones es molesto , por ejemplo viajando a una velocidad crucero de 130 es mas molesto que con el escape original o es similar? saludos!
Hi! The Sound is perfect, in my opinion it's not annoying at all! It's a lower sound then the stock exhaust and it's not super loud.

Hi I have two questions at point 2:52 (min) you measure but you don't say what ??? is the correct distance
and second question at point 3:38 appears a carbon cover is that included ? or is an extra ? HOW did you installed it? Thank you in advance...

I didn't take the DB killer out yet. It is possible but it's not easy because the carbon cap doesn't have a hole anymore to reach the screw.
I read that it will definately make a difference in sound and be louder but not extremely.

Nice that you bought a 300X as well. What do you mean?! The pipe isn't leaking if that's what you mean.
