Dear Mercland. Because i am wondering why my W212 rear sensor is not beeping. At what distance (in cm) does it start to beep from the car's rear bumper to the object?
If they dont come on automatically, you have a fault. There is a button with "P" on it. If this is red and cannot be turned off by pressing the button, you have a fault.
Mercedes have 99 problems and this is one. Can’t be adjusted. It’s supposedly more refined than a constant beep as you are supposed to use the visual display. The audible tone is just for when very close.

I think something like 20-30 cm. When you have 2 red lines you've still got something like 10-15 cm.
Does it work in ml 350 4matic 2007?

I would have preferred beeping from range, this is stupid as you need to watch the sensors as much as the road.
Great cars, but the UI is utter shit. Not intuitive at all on any of their systems.
This system is a total flop! Maybe this crap design happened when Mercedes teamed up with Chrysler?
