There is a level system but then again that doesn't mean much if your just a walking god with a sword to swing around like a boomerang at only being a level 1

It really depends on how you look at it. A stylized game can perform much better on the PS5 at a higher poly count (smoother meshes which look WAY better for NPR) and resolution as opposed to the PS4 . A more powerful system allows the developer to be able to manage a larger degree of things on screen in real time for optimizing the game and maintain ALL of this at a higher resolution. One example id like to point out is how accurate Raytraced shadows would look for toon based 3D work in contrast to screen space contact shadows which are pretty terrible. Thanks to real time raytracing, someone would be able to work that into a game and provide a more genuine aesthetic.
Stop being poor and get a gaming PC. I’m so tired of everyone complaining about next gen consoles just because you can’t get your hands on one. You’re gonna spend the same amount of money (eventually) in the long run by buying so many games down the line, yet you’d rather get a home console. Can do more and achieve more with a PC. Just get a gaming PC. You can literally buy a gaming desktop for less than $1700 with a 30-series graphics card built into it.
The combat is not what I thought, the trailer made it look like a devil may cry type of game but it’s a lot more like astral chain which in that game I liked because of the synergy and flashy attacks with you and your legion not to mention the specific command inputs for certain attacks. But this game doesn’t have a legion but it has very flashy attacks. I guess I’ll just wait and see

it doesnt need to look like a souls in order to be a soulslike game. soulslike refers to the gameplay alone. typically, an exceedingly difficult game with boss focus, and mechanics to enhance fighting such as parry/rolling, etc. not what it looks like.

Also, even if they are acting as designed the enemies are level 2 so it's probably like the first mission, don't expect them to be Sekiro enemies.
@@deathbykonami5487 Many of the Tales games fuse futuristic technology with the fantasy setting. Inarguably fantasy, yes, but most of them aren't actually a medieval setting. Zestiria is. Kind of Graces. Innocence isn't, though, either. It's steam engine heavy industrial era. My only point was Tales is more broad of a category than just medieval fantasy.
This is the first anime game I have seen in awhile that ligamently has me pumped when I first heard about it I had my doubts but if this game is better than what was shown here I'm sold

The environments look a little stale, but the enemy variety and designs look really creepy and cool. Characters have solid designs and the combat looks engaging and gives an Astral Chain vibe

The two allies with you don't seem to do anything. Like at one point the male ally just kinda runs into an enemy but doesn't attack; he just keeps running like on a treadmill. Highly doubt that's the case in the full release (hopefully). Also I wonder if you can switch the character you're controlling? At one point the female character with the bo staff switches places with the main character, but only uses some sort of magic attack before switching back out. Either way, very interested. Glad it's coming to PC.

After Code Vein. God Eater 3. Nier Automata. Xenoblade Chronicles (the three person system, the 'open world', the 3rd person combat). And DOZENS of similar games, why should I care about this game? It's great that Bamco can make more than one style of game, but it doesn't seem like they care to.
While many are comparing this to code vein an astral chain I hate to disappoint you but. This game was built differently Code vein only gives you 1 ai companion and astral chain. Gives you multiple creature like teammates While scarlett nexus has it's own identity the combat and the fact you are fighting using telekinesis style combat not to mention you'll have 2 Ai teammates an can also by the looks of it connect or synchronize their abilities and use it , if you haven't played Ray gigant I suggest you do. As the art style and background is bland an plain given the fact it set inna post apocalyptic story where practically high school students are forced to fight to live or die each story has a background from high school students to an heir an to a young islander girl who is adopted Games will have small inspirations but will still have their own identity. Tales of Arise is proving that by separating from the cute vibrant to a more mature an more dark tone , even the new legend of heroes is branching Games are becoming more of their own. I do look forward to scarlett nexus
Gameplay is what I wanted to see, and I got it. This looks good. Definitely a day one buy/preorder, if it’s available on PS4 Pro or Xbox1X that is. XS and PS5 aren’t available.

Demo is out on Xbox they have different difficulties and I played on the hardest one. You’ll take massive damage and the enemy are higher level.

Love how the NPC’s kind just stand there circling enemies while holding their weapons menacingly. Incredibly useful.

Is this an astral chain knock off? the cyberpunk style, the way you can finish enemies in a stylish fashion and you can use psychic powers like the chimeras in astral chain it reminds me of astral chain
knock off seems kinda harsh, this looks a bit better than astral chain combat wise

I'm a type who don't care with the gameplay or graphic.. And more focused about the story.. Honestly, it's been a while i played a game and make me impressed with the story. Since suikoden, persona, Final Fantasy, etc.. It's really hard to get a great story in this era.. And for me scarlet nexus is killing it.. I hope there is scarlet nexus 2, perspective from the moon.

It's great that Bamco can make more than one style of game, but it doesn't seem like they care to.

While many are comparing this to code vein an astral chain I hate to disappoint you but. This game was built differently
Code vein only gives you 1 ai companion and astral chain. Gives you multiple creature like teammates
While scarlett nexus has it's own identity the combat and the fact you are fighting using telekinesis style combat not to mention you'll have 2 Ai teammates an can also by the looks of it connect or synchronize their abilities and use it , if you haven't played Ray gigant I suggest you do. As the art style and background is bland an plain given the fact it set inna post apocalyptic story where practically high school students are forced to fight to live or die each story has a background from high school students to an heir an to a young islander girl who is adopted
Games will have small inspirations but will still have their own identity.
Tales of Arise is proving that by separating from the cute vibrant to a more mature an more dark tone , even the new legend of heroes is branching

This looks cool. The Companion AI doesn't seem very good though.
Gameplay is what I wanted to see, and I got it. This looks good. Definitely a day one buy/preorder, if it’s available on PS4 Pro or Xbox1X that is. XS and PS5 aren’t available.
I hope there is an option to toggle the slowdown when an object is launched at an enemy.
Others: This game looks cool, unlike any other games.
