I only own chinos from PBJ so I can't really compare both fairly but I do own two pairs of Tanuki jeans and I do love their cut and fabric very much. I have the 101ID which is the 15oz and it feels so light, airy and comfy that I could swear they are like a 10-11oz instead. I also enjoy that the Tanuki fit for the straight isn't too crazy and their pockets (both front and back) are more western style (which is to say they are a bit bigger/longer) One day once my denim collection begins to dwindle a bit I'll get a pair of PBJ, I've heard/seen only good things

Two great pairs of jeans. Don't have either brand, but very tempted by PBJ. I really like the weft on both these jeans; adds additional texture and depth to the jeans. Of these two pairs I prefer the Tanuki (fades great with the green weft).

I totally love PBJ..ended up having 3 pairs in quick succession especially the EX model! PBJ is more about fabric excellence than engineering features..
I recently got a pair of EX013 BRK from Okayama. On sale + discount so just under 2 bills But they only had Raw 34 which fit PERFECT for an entire month until I ran em through a light Warm wash, No spin, No Drying…Basically just an agitating warm soak, Barely got em back on soaking wet. Now the rise is too low, the inseams too short & basically unwearable…Extremely heartbroken, Not sure if or when they’ll get a restock.
@@DrewDiddy7703 My bad, I was actually replying to the original poster about getting three pairs of PBJs in quick succession. But here's the thing, the broken twill PBJs seem to be cut smaller than any other PBJ. In a 35 waist, I couldn't even the second to top button whereas the 35 in XX-13 were 100% after soaking, allowing for a little stretch.

I own a Langlitz jacket that I had custom made for me over 25 years ago it's still amazing horse leather. Unfortunately don't get to wear to much anymore since moving to Florida a bunch of years ago, but it's something I would never part with.I lived in that jacket when I lived in NYC.

I’ve Ben working on some pbj’s for 3 years the only thing I dnt like about them is I wish lower legs were more aggressively tapered

Highly recommend Iron Heart, at least their 21oz denim, Worth the extra cost, Oni Secret denim is a distant second for 1/2 the price.
